MK HD Kollection

Re: MK Arcade Collection in November (?)

Not only that, but just about every day, I'm finding new websites that are putting up new listings for the game which also show that date (though, I've also seen some with various other dates). The fact that we're getting closer and the database is still showing November 16 has to mean something.

now if i would have said that half this site would have attacked me,i guess you put it in a delicate way they understand(and these cats play M rated games)anyway i agree with you they know the day and date IF this game is real,i just dont understand why no one will come forward and say yay or nay

lol, or perhaps my post got lost in the shuffle. ;-)

I agree 100%. What is their deal about not saying anything at all? If the game is real and the plan is to release it at some point, then Ed and Co. should be able to say so (even if they're not directly involved). If it's merely a rumor, then just say, "We'd love to someday make a game like that, but nothing is on the table currently." The hush-hush, wink-nod strategy they like to employ is cool at times, but annoying at others. If they were legitimately planting clues for us, that'd be different too (hey, when's Noob.com going to re-launch anyway???).

It's really weird, but I think that not making any noise about it is actually better PR since we keep speculating about it. If they'd announced it, I doubt there would be as much chatter.

I wholeheartedly agree and have been saying this all along. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if someone within NR purposely leaked the details regarding the HD Kollection to TRMK. Ed and Co. know how MK fans are, give them a little and they'll run with it. They love playing mind games with us just as much as we enjoy them. I still believe if this game were to just randomly appear on store shelves on Tuesday the 16th, they'd sell quite a few. How many other games would be able to say that?

Re: MK Arcade Collection in November (?)

can anyone confirm this? link. I don't have access to Pesina's profile

Edit:

Well I searched a bit and found this Link. Check bonj's post at 09:12. Young Marquez is saying it has nothing to do with MK HD Kollection. It's a very nice pic though :)

More pics

I would also appreciate if people who pre-ordered the game (tim_static for example) can tell us if they had their pre-order canceled.
Thanks

That's the way I understood it, anyway I am positive this game is going to be released soon, and besides Patrick's sources are reliable.

Re: MK Arcade Collection in November (?)

Another link for the game, this time at Metacritic.com. http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-3/mortal-kombat-hd-arcade-kollection?recent-sort=metascore. Note the cool little countdown (as well as to what day it's counting down). Again, daily, it seems that new sites update with MK HD info which would point to a 11/16 release. I really, really hope that is a good sign. I don't care about any official announcements, I just want to be playing Mortal Kombat II in High freakin' Definition on Tuesday the 16th. :-p

I think on that day you'll be probably playing the MK 9 demo lol. Nice find :) I like that little counter, we got accustomed to them thx to WB :p

Oh crap, I didn't think about that. Counters = bad for the MK Kommunity. lol, perhaps since it isn't run by WB, maybe it will actually work! ;-) And yeah, almost forgot about the possibility of the demo being included. I'll definitely be playing that first if it is.

Keep in mind our original story I questioned the release date that has been leaked, we never heard a release date and questioned the retail leaked dates as they were doing filming in August with a November release date.

Also I can see Carlos overseeing the project from both an art and martial arts perspective. I'm sure Ed has much input on the project as well as he made those games, but just not a day to day input as his main focus (and much that of all of NetherRealm Studios) is to complete MK9.

So do you think it's at all possible that the game even could be released on the leaked date of 11/16? I mean, from your knowledge of game development, would they even be able to film the new actors and implement that into the game in a couple months (that would be assuming other elements of the game were already completed and the filming was the last step)? I believe it could be possible, then again, that's just because I'd love for the game to be released in about a week. Whether or not it's actually realistic, well, I have no clue.

Just out of curiosity, since the info was leaked, have you heard anything else on the game, Patrick? I'm not asking you to divulge any insider info or anything, just curious if you've heard anything at all since the initial report.

Haven't thought of it that way, if Ed's is included in the project (even if it's only a slight presence), that will certainly guarantee a quality kompilation.

Re: MK Arcade Collection in November (?)

I think it should be obvious now that we won't be seeing it this month. Maybe that was the targeted release date initially, but plans do change. There is a window of 4 months before MK's release in April (tentative mind you), so we'll just wait and see.

Still, some acknowledgment of the project would've been nice at this point.

Re: MK Arcade Collection in November (?)

With about 4.5 months to go before we see MK9, I'd say the SMARTEST time to release this baby would be the last week of November or the first week of December. Christmas is right around the corner and it'd be GENIUS to release this with a MK9 demo around this time.

That sounds even better to me.
With the way that MK 9 is turning out, I'm more excited for an MK 9 demo, than the HD Kollection itself.

Hell, I'd easily pay $15 for an MK9 demo, right about now.

I'd want to play the demo too but I hope I won't have to pay for it. I mean in PSN, demos are free.

I agree, demos are short for "demonstrations" why the hell should we pay for a demonstration of a game. We have never had to pay for demos EVER, so I guarantee if a demo exists, it would be posted on Xbox Live & PSN

That's what I was thinking. I don't believe they're allowed to charge for demos. If the demo were to become available, if it weren't included as part of the HD Kollection, it would be on PSN for free. I think if the MK team cannot provide us the HD Kollection on 11/16, the least they can do is release a MK9 demo on PSN on that day. Just put whatever build was shown at GamesCon or E3 (we're not too picky).
