I cannot stress how great the BD release is. One of the best restorations 80's movies have got, and it's probably $10 at HMV now.

The news of this game has already been leaked time and time again. If WB wants it to sell, then they need to confirm and advertise it right about now.

Does anybody here knows WELL the videogame business, and tell me when games are usually confirmed ? I mean : press conference, pictures sent to magazine, etc, etc..

Because MK HD Kollection is supposed to be release in LESS than one month (17 november) and... we still have nothing official !
It's weird because we can pre-order it in various online stores, both in Europe and United States...

Of course, i don't talk about HD or not, new actors or not... just the facts about the releasing date !

November quickly approaching

Well, I was just thinking, with no announcement by now, maybe it's entirely possible that the game won't have an announcement at all. Even though huge to MK fans, I wouldn't necessarily say it's a mainstream "big one". Perhaps WB doesn't plan on promotion and just expects us to purchase when it hits the shelves on the 16th. Penny for your thoughts....

there should be announcemnt by now, they have to promote for it. unless they dont want to release it in 2010 and just wait for a time in 2011 !!!

If it's out in 2011, I'll just wait until it goes down to the $15 price range, and just get MK 9.

It's a good point of vue ! As we can see with the last "Scorpion's bio" release, Warner Bros seems very busy with the announcement of MK9 : they can't miss it !

So it's possible that they won't make any "mainstream annoucement" for a game that is not important for most players (only for fans)... Maybe they don't want to confuse people with "Mortal Kombat" (1) and "Mortal Kombat" (9)

I like this idea !

That's actually a good point you got there. For anyone not paying enough attention, they could be confusing them with the MK games.

At the same time, the HD Kollection is, well, not really a 'new' MK game so perhaps it doesn't relly need a huge announcement.

Yeah. It's true.
I could see how they don't want to confuse people with MK 9 and the HD Kollection.

I just want them (GameStop) to give us an official: "Hey, it's in our system. You can pre-order it" type of announcement.

So you think they're not gonna make an announcement for the HD Kollection to avoid over-shadowing the launch of MK(9)? Makes perfect sense considering that the HD Kollection is gonna include the most popular games of the series.

they not gonna announce it cause its not coming out,chek the facts,no street date,no advertising, no instore skew 2 reserve it by and no mention on their site,if it does come out this year i will b amazed

I think i would rather wait for "Gran Turismo 5"... It will be less stressful !!:)

Two relieable websites, first one is my local gameshop which been around for ages and second one is a big Dutch retailer. Their release dates are 15 and 12 november.

When I type in the EAN code (5051888060124) on Google, I'm getting other retealers who sell/sold it. A lot of these pre orders have been taken down.

I don't know if I can get more information from my local gameshop, can give it a try one of these days perhaps.

Isn't it also up to Team MK to actually operate like a professional video game team, and inform its fans? Whether its confirming/denying rumors about a big re-release of the classics that defined the product, or launching a website correctly, they ought to be a little more professional with handling their brand and fans. Thus far, they have come off as very bush-league.
