I had the 'chance' to see this movie with my girlfriend yesterday... and I thought the first one was bad. This one is horrible. I'm not an anti-fan, I liked the books for sure. But I think this movie just sucks. My girlfriend is a big twilight fan and she didn't really like the it either. Lucky me haven't paid to watch that horrible movie. Not worth my money.
 
I saw the preview on David Letterman. It looked very bad to be honest. The acting seemed very poor.
 
Vampires? Great! Fighting werewolves? That's what made Underworld entertaining (or was it leather-clad boobies?)! But this time it's in high school! Wait...isn't that where they went wrong with the Dragonball Movie? Wait wait wait...the vampires do what in sunlight? They don't explode? Oh...and they drink from cows? Not people? Oh...well what about...oh they don't do that either eh? Well...screw this then.

The preceding has been an actual rendition of the first conversation about Twilight.
 
I don't know what the hell the point of that was exactly, but don't do it again, Raijin. That was completely unnecessary.
 
No, this is TRMK, and Deathcore is a moderator, and you will do what he asks because he was given the responsibility to ensure the rules are enforced. If you think you're being clever, you're not, you're just acting like a 20 something year old punk who thinks he's still in high school. There are rules here, follow them, and if a moderator asks you to stop, then comply, otherwise you'll find yourself promptly banned or otherwise reprimanded.
 
I feel like the trio of actors headlining this thing are underdeveloped as professionals. It makes sense, considering that one of them isn't even legally an adult. Every time I see them at promotional events, it seems as though the only way they know to carry themselves is to squint really hard and look totally uninterested in the (not really great) franchise that's making them a ton of money.

Aside from my general dislike of those three, vampires have achieved overexposure (no pun intended) as of late. Vampires =/= teenage dramas.
 
That out of the way, we can attempt to get this thread back on track. Speaking of the money this movie made over the weekend, I'm completely baffled. I can't believe it actually broke The Dark Knight's opening day take.

I heard there was a lot of backlash in the Twilight community. What I'm most bummed about, however, is the fact that a lot of pretty respectable artists signed on for the soundtrack. They lose a little respect from me.

You can't lose respect in a band just because they made a song in the Twilight series. It's odd, but you shouldn't lose respect from them.

I have a friend that's quite the Twilight fan. She told me the movie wasn't as great as the first. Apparently, she couldn't take the movie seriously after noticing the main vampire dude's nipples were slightly disfigured.

And why not? I don't dislike it because it's a teen romance marketing bonanza. I dislike it for a number of reasons. And yeah, I understand that bands and artists have to get paid somehow, but 'Twilight' is pretty bogus.
 
I must confess I know nothing of this except "It's got vampires in it..."

For the record, vampires have always sucked. Ninjas is where its at!
 
dude this movie was ok. I meen ya know 4 a chick flik. the special effects werent that bad nether. I saw it with my GF she was like its not as good as the book but it was alright. an I was like yeah it was pretty ok. hey has anyone heard anything about MK9 I didn't see any sections for it

MK9 discussion is right here. There's no new information, but when there is, you will surely see a topic about it.

In the future, don't hesitate to PM a mod (myself included) or administrator for these types of questions.
