The next logical step

Looking at the Capcom games, and going by what Midway said about a sequel being on the cards, would the next step be Midway vs. DC?
I think it would be cool seeing characters like Nick Scryer, Torque and Anubis facing off against Subby, Supes and the guys. Ah, I'm a sucker for seeing characters out of their usual environments.

Eh, I'd rather see a straight up DC fighter, as in DC v DC.

But it would be cool to see maybe some of the old Midway characters from games such as Smash TV, NBA Jam (haha), etc. But a DC only fighter (see Xmen: Children of the Atom) would be awesome too, throwing in characters from DC NOT in MKvDC.

Nice thread dude, finally someone that actually knows about Psi-Ops lol such a great game btw, Nick Scryer is such a badass character. He'd fit FINE in a future Mk vs. DC as a secret character or something. That would be awesome!

Perhaps someone in UR series can make an apperance as well besides MK characters again of course : )

I love Psi-Ops. By the way, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is very similar gameplay wise. You should check out the demo.

The Force Unleashed looks sick. I've played the demo like a dozen times.

And Psi-Ops was pretty awesome. Did they ever make a sequel? Cause they should.

Funny you mention that man, yes I have. My friend has ALL 3 consoles lol, he's one of those super nutty gamers has to get everything.

I played it, you're right it does play similar(they're also using the same engine or one of them anyway with Havok) such a great engine it does play a lot like Psi-Ops easily I totally agree, the control IMO is a little harder and more difficult to get used to then Psi-Ops and obviously in that game you could do all kinds of stuff with combos with the Psi powers it was great!!

@ Bo, yeah dude I agree they need to make a sequel to it at some point. Sadly it was HIGHLY underrated why I have no clue....the game was great got like 9/10 on most reviews and I remember on GS it won "best game to introduce newest engine" award that year with how interactive the game was.

Such a great game I do hope we see a sequel down the line at some point!!

SW Unleashed is pretty fun, I'm not a big SW fan but I liked it:mrgreen:

Ahem, check out my sigs and gamercard lol...

LOL...oppsss ohh yeah you're a nutty gamer too ha, ha(no offense you know what I mean) I am too, we all are here but I just take it to the next level with MK ha, ha check this out hehe

@ Kai kid, I agree dude Psi-Ops=awesome and arguably one of the most underrated games ever made!!

yeah, that is dedication. the half sleeve I'm designing has Scorpion on it, along with Batman, Solid Snake, Hiro Nakamura, Kain and a bunch of my other favourite characters. But I'm not gonna have the cash to get it done for at least a year.

I have the Batman logo, the Punisher Skull and the Offspring Conspiracy Skull in various places on my arms though lol. There's no point in having tattoos unless they are of things that are important to you.

Ohh yeah I totally agree, some people have teased me say ohh when you're old blah, blah but MK does mean a lot to me and like you said it's something a tattoo has to be something that means a lot to you in some way, fan, religion whatever.

I'm a huge MK fan, in fact about a month so ago on MKO lol this guy made a thread saying if a fan from online could rep the site or in general who would it be? Most people posted my name, ha, ha...

You sound cool though, once you get to know me more and more you'll see why ha, ha. I can talk, play, make art and have all the soundtracks, games, movies on both VHS and DVD and music on both casette and CD lol all the time if I wanted.

My friends, I drive them NUTS with MK. They actually don't like it as much because of me ha, ha.

But yeah dude, that's awesome. I bet that would cost major money man, all those characters? Sick : )

I want to get my nickname at some point M.K.F.30 and things I plan on getting something to do with Ermac(his icon from MKD also on his back), Fujin's icons and The Superman icon and Yankee emblem.

But yeah, since you have everything console wise which are you the biggest fan of? I'm going to guess either Nintendo or Xbox but I don't know ha, ha. Watch it be Sony : P

I admit a shame here: Outside of MK, my knowledge on Midway games is limited... I know titles, but not character names.

I'm not ashamed to admit that. I'm not a Midway fan. I'm a Blizzard fan. But the only Midway game I really like is MK....wait, was Rampage a Midway Games property? I think it was. I like Rampage too.

Ha, yeah man it's Sony. I try not to be biased, but when I've got three consoles side by side, the first one that is basically a Gamecube with a new controller, the second with insides made of spit and duct tape and one that can power a small country, It's an obvious choice. I always tend to favour the Sony consoles of every generation, I dunno why. I was a Sega kid before that though.

I've always been a Nintendo man myself. Something about Nintendo titles just call to me. The Zeldas, the Kirbies, the Metroids (but not the Marios) are just appealing somehow. Sony has a lot of excellent titles as well, things like God of War and other titles that arn't necessarily sony made but have only come out on Sony consoles like Sly Cooper. But for the most part, the major Sony properties I don't like quite as much. Final Fantasy for instance, can't stand 'em. Crash Bandicoot, Metal Gear Solid, etc. etc. etc. I know these are well recieved and excellent titles, but there's something about games on Sony consoles that I just...don't have any interest in. Good or not.

Im a Nintendo and Sony guy. I wont touch Xbox.

I love Sony because of its amazing graphics for sports games, shooters, and some of the other non Nintendo titles. MGS4 is the first MGS game I've played. I was never a fan of the older games and MGS4 is by far the best game I have ever played, EVER! I never thought I would say that about a game until MGS came to the PS3.

For Nintendo, it is so unique with so many console titles, I love the Marios and Zeldas. Unlike SOny vs Xbox, Nintendo is in aleague of its own. With Xbox and Sony, you can buy one and basically have the same experience on each, but Nintendo is its own entity.

I will probably buy both Nintendo and Sony forever.

Xbox has a better controller for my comfort zone. Not bashing Sony's controller. But it could have some more traction on the joypads...and a more rounded grip...and easier shoulder buttons to press with just the index finger...and the option to move the left joystick to where it is on oh...ANY other controller.

I love the sticks where they are, feels more natural to have both thumbs in the same position. The only gripe I have is like you said with the traction on the sticks. Whenever I was running from the cops on San Andreas, I'd always end up with the palm of my hand on the stick. a couple of indents would go a long way.

The thing is, that's exactly how I feel. My hands are not often ON the second joystick unless I'm adjusting the camera or playing an FPS. So for the vast majority of the time, when I want both my thumbs to be in their natural positions (one thumb on the joystick, on on the face buttons) they're not right on the PS controller. I find it impossible difficult to control my character with my thumb in that position on just about any game. As for the traction, I'm thinking about getting some grip tape, like for tennis rackets, over at Sports Authority (Idk if you have those in the UK) and sticking it on the joysticks.
