The release of Mortal Kombat: Deception is finally upon us. The PS2 and Xbox versions, along with their respective collectors/premium editions, will be hitting stores this week. Several retailers have varying release dates, but all fall within this week.

I heard of some Targets and som EB/Gamestop stores getting the games on Monday evening. Anyone else heard this??

To be honest, there's entirely too much speculation as to when everyone is going to receive this game. There's already rumor of individuals in california having this game, however that's the only confirmations I've heard that are semi-reliable. As for the rest of us, people have to be receiving it soon, but if they are being shipped out from the manufacturers today, that means tuesday will be the earliest it's received, if not wednesday. I'm in Jacksonville, Florida, and if anyone else is around here, don't worry, I'm keeping the city covered until it's released.

Yes, I ordered mine from Eb games and the release date for the premium pack is the 4th of October. I cancelled my order from amazon because their release date is the 15th. I could not wait that long any longer.

I talked to Gamestop where I live and they said they will definitely have it in the store on the 5th.

Yeppers the 5th it is, i'm getting my coppy from Target to get a $10 gift card... since it is one of the few places to give something back to ya.

My fingers were crossed this morning hoping that Gamestop would have gotten their shipment on Friday or over the weekend and held it for today, however my luck wasn't great enough... I spoke to my local Gamestop, whom told me that the game was en route to them and they would have it first thing tomorrow morning. It seems that like is the going story. Everyone will get their's tomorrow. (Well, depending on where you live, of course...) Looking forward to playing Kabal!

I purchased my copy of the regular version this morning at 10am at EBGames, however, I have contaced SEVERAL stores, and NO ONE has the premium pack yet. I still havent opened my regular hoping that I will find a premium pack today, but its looking like I'm going to rip open that package pretty soon. -Justin

All, From what I have heard from my local Gamestop, is that the Kollector's Edition is an extra day off. The regular version is in stores (I have seen it), and the Kollectors/Premium Editions will be in store tomorrow. It was a shipping snafu!

[/quote] I called a couple of area Targets today and they just got it in. Although one store had only the PS2 and PS2 Premium Pack, but another store just had the normal Xbox version. YMMV. Call ahead.

I went to Gamestop today and they said there was a holdup somewhere for the Kollector's Pack. They did have the regular version, so they gave that one to me and told me that I could bring it back tomorrow and trade it in for the Kollector's Pack. I will just have to pay the $10 difference.

Call ahead.[/quote]I called today, but they would not tell me if the have the Kollectors Edition for the Xbox... or not, guess i'll just have to go in and find out. It's a good thing EBGames is just across the street from Target, so i can get the Scorpion cover...

I really hate EB Games. They told me they were getting the game in today, and they did, but my pre-order hadn't come in. (They had run out of Kollectors Editions and only had 2 actual games left.) Then, they had the gall to tell me that I hadn't ordered it at all when before I had gone in to get it I was looking at my orders and it was there. So, I cancelled that order and ordered it again. Hopefully I'll get it by tomorrow or, at latest, on Thursday.
