In an article posted on IGN, cheif marketing officer, Steve Allison, revealed that the main MK Team, under the steady direction of Ed Boon, is currently hard at work bringing Mortal Kombat: Armageddon to the Nintendo Wii. In skipping the Nintendo GameCube outright, Midway is taking on the challenge to bring a button-laden figher to a platform with an extremely unique control scheme. However, given the game is more than likely an adaptation of the version to get the PlayStation 2 and Xbox, it is highly speculated that the game will take advantage of the Wii's classic style controller peripherial.

Expect the Nintendo Wii version of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon sometime in the first quarter of 2007.

Yeah, I'll agree that the standard "classic" controller will be put to use here. EA is doing the same thing with NFS Carbon.

It's gonna be awesome to have MKA on the Wii! Too bad I can't get another console...
