Another tidbit of information, initially discovered on the official Midway Forums, was posted by Games Radar. The special edition "kontent" for the PlayStation 2 versions of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon have been revealed. The PlayStation 2 special editions will feature the pairings of Sindel and Shao Kahn, Kano and Sonya, Johnny Cage and Goro, and the standard cover in full metal boxes.

Each special edition copy will contain a bonus hour long DVD, featuring a "History of Fatalities" and video featurettes of more than 50 characters, an autographed animation cell of the game's cover by Ed Boon and an arcade perfect emulation of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. The official press release with full details, along with plans for the Xbox version, is expected tomorrow.

Thanks Rain Demon!

Please tell me there are plans a Collectors Edition for the XBOX. That would just suck if they only did it for the PS2. Anyone know yet?

My guess is they won't make a Xbox version. And "arcade" perfect was promised in other games and I think we know what happened with those gems Since UMK3 is making its way to XBL Arcade I wouldn't care too much. And sad as this may sound, my purchase plan for the Xbox 360 is now partially based on UMK3!!!
