You may have heard of Brice Mellen before. He's just like any other high school senior. He loves video games and plays them all the time. He's virtually unstoppable at playing the latest console Mortal Kombat games. And to top things off, he plays with a compromise. He can't see the television.

Brice is survivor of Leber's disease, which blinded him at birth, but that has not stopped him from becoming an avid gamer. Later this month, Brice will travel to Japan to compete against several of Japan's best Mortal Kombat players as part of a special for Nippon TV’s Power of Memory, Part III.

Would it shock you that I'm mostly in the same situation, except for being as well known?

To prove I an in fact blind, why did you never see me post any pictures? Because the screen reading program I have installed reads text, but not graphics. It's not computers that are designed for the blind, but software built for us.

You can get someone else to do it for you...

If you truly are blind, enlighten me as to where I can find this wonderful software you use. Also, how do you target posts, and not the entire page? Or do you in face have to wade through all of the text on any given page you visit? That's a lot of time you invest to just post on a Mortal Kombat fan message board. I call your bluff.

Personally, I don't think the "bluff" is worthy of calling. Whether he claims to be blind or not, it doesn't make any difference to his posts. So I say leave it be.

i think there was somthing on g4 once where kevin p got beat by this blind kid im not sure though

As far as recent MK's go, Koei I believe published DA there and it never appeared on any sales charts (which list games that sold as low as 1000 copies). MKD never saw the light of day there as far as I know. Japan is pretty much VF country when it comes to fighters, followed by Tekken. Everything else takes a backseat nowadays.
