No character in Mortal Kombat ever really dies. Johnny Cage has come back, Raiden came back, Shang Tsung came back, Liu Kang came back etc... And Noob being the original Sub-Zero is the best story line Vogel has come up with since Tobias left the Midway team. Very unique and twisty plot line there, and it fits well into the mythology.
