It has been known for a few months now that Jazwares was working on a line of action figures for Mortal Kombat (2011). Every time they exhibited at various events they just used the same concept art renders for what the characters would look like, and never actually showing the figures in detail. Word is they are producing two lines of figures a larger more detailed 6 inch and a smaller 3.25 inch figure set.

Now thanks to The Pop Culture Network we get our first look at at the 6 inch tall figures.






We've attached the four figure thumbnails below, but be sure to head on over to the gallery on The Pop Culture Network for larger resolution looks at the figures. The figures all appear to have "over 15 points of articulation" so you can pose them easily any which way as well as interchangeable hands and weapons for further customization. These figures should be for sale later this summer according to Jazwares.

Update: Forgot to mention that you can pre-order the figures over at ToyWiz.com. The smaller figures are retailing for $10-13 and the larger figures are looking like $15-20 each.

Jazwares told me that it is available at Toys R Us.. So for those who are unable to pre-order or did not pre order it, you can find those figures at Toys R Us by June/July Summer of 2011.

I sent ya the original info on twitter when I preordered these in April. I am just glad I took the risk to preorder them all and even happier they are done by Jazwares as they list them all as Zoofy aka crap.

Johnny will be a welcome addition to my Johnny shrine.

Just hope the 4" ones are good. Since I ordered all the classic MK and MK9 ones.

Looks great. I would like a Scorpion figure. I hope they can release all of the remaining characters into figures. I'm waiting to see the Jade figure.

Why has nobody commented on smoke? If u click the pre order link you can pre order a classic robot MK9 smoke figure. Also there is a classic robot 3 pack, we have alreasy seen classic cyrax and sektor in action. So to me this looks like they are working on a Robot smoke for DLC, and also a robot classic skins pack. As i said above we have already seen DLC leaks of classic robot cyrax and sektor so with this info i belive we are getting a robot smoke as DLC.

After looking at the bigger shots of the figures I must say, while I will still most likely get them, they are not as good of quality as I was expecting. I've gotten the figures from the MK Deception and those looked way more detailed than these. Please don't hate on my opinion. It's just my own. Disagree if you will, but please no verbal backlash as I wouldn't do that to you.

These are pretty cool, I assume. It's just not fair that Mortal Kombat doesn't get the Neca or McFarlane treatment like everything else seems to get. Could you imagine Neca putting out these figures? I shudder at the thought of the awesomeness.

scorpion and sub zero look good...McFarlane would/could and should have made these though

I agree with Daniel Venzor. I have all the previous Jazwares figures. These kinda seem like a step down from the later figures they released (the ones that were based off Shaolin Monks). I'll still buy them regardless. MK can take my money as long as I get some plastic in return...

I think they suck.

Raiden and Johnny look weird... Raiden's head looks odd... and Johnny, well, the whole figurine looks strange.. doesn't do them any good...

What happen with the neck of Cage? maybe the figure is a representation after received a fatality? this not a joke but if this is the details of the 6" figures i not really want to see the small not so details figures. IMO the figures looks singles toys for kids. Maybe my negative comment is because i was waiting for a adult Details Figure Collection like the MOTUC Figures, link below http://pages.suddenlink.net/soundwavempl/motucfigs/motucvchecklist.html Or with the new generations of 3D printers make detailest figures based in the high details 3D models used in the MK9, Not this. Entertainmentearth.com and Manofactionfigures.com listed that The MK 9 4 inch action figure includes: Raiden, Johnny Cage, Sub zero, Scorpion. And the 6 inch is Raiden, Sub zero, Scorpion. No Johnny Cage.. I'm curious. maybe they mistakenly listed it.

They should have gone the classic look like I did on my 12" figure. And I am currently working on some additional heads.

Ummm.... meh. These are sub-par at best. Very awkward body proportions and weird faces. Also, Sub-Zero looks like he just got his eyebrows waxed and is pleasantly surprised at how his pedicure turned out. Wish McFarlane toys could have done these, I would have had to buy them all at that point.

tremor - Hot Toys Royce figure for the base... Custom make outfit. Boots are from Goemon figure, everything else was hand made.

I want them both Scorpion and Sub-Zero

I don't mean to come off rude, but what the hell is that?! I'll stick with my 3 3/4 GI Joe MK figures. At least I have the full set already lol

Yeah. Sub Zero's eyebrows is way farther from his eyes.

Look at the details of scorpion. Look at his right arm. His bicep straps are unfinished... And look at carefully of Sub Zero's back.. It's filthy and dirty..

Cyborgs look good but Ermac and Reptile leave much to be desired imo. Hopefully the final figure will look better.

Very MK3 ninja like outfits. I know it's a prototype but hope this is a hint we may be getting MK3 ninja skins sometime.

While it is just an edit/mock-up, at least we know he's coming. If it's of any interest, here are Noob Saibot and Scorpion. By the way, do we know yet what the TRU/SDCC exclusive is going to be?

The classic ninjas/cyborgs are way cool looking. Now THOSE I'll definitely buy and put on my shelf with pride.

I picked up a 6 inch Sub-Zero today. I saw the whole series, with two of each character. So, they're out there now, I guess.

I was really hoping these would be somewhat cool, but uuuugghh. They just aren't doing it for me, and what happened to Cage & Raiden?? hahaha I've been longing for an Ermac figure forever, so I might get that one. Could have been so much better.

I heard this too, I'm gonna check my ToysRUs tomorrow, hopefully they have Johnny Cage!

They're also in stock at Big Bad Toy Store. I just ordered Raiden, Scorps and Subby. Too those who have seen them in person, how do they look compared to the protos?

My vote goes for Cyrax and sektor , the rest i don't know....

Mortal Kombat Statues! Although I wished they would expand beyond Scorpion and Sub Zero....they both have like three statues each...lol

Pics of my Jazwares Scorpion and Sub-Zero. Didn't take any of Raiden since I'm probably gonna be sending him back because of a paint scuff on his face. Note: Scorpion does not come with a chain to attach his kunai (spear) with. I just used one of those twisty ties that come with other figures.

Are these available at Toys R Us yet? I went last week and they had nothing.

Some TRU's are getting them as well as FYE. I haven't seen them anywhere in my area yet but I got mine at BigBadToyStore.com
