The
other day we mentioned that some of the
Mortal Kombat Development Team would be attending the Chicago Mortal Kombat Truck Tour stops. Well that was just the beginning. Appears that various members of the development team will not only be attending tonight's Chicago Tour Stop, but they'll also be stopping by a few locations across the US for their respective midnight release parties. Chicago's event starts at 8pm, but the others we assume will begin at 10pm like the
other GameStop midnight Mortal Kombat events tonight.

our Justin.TV account. We will also be giving away some prizes we just got during the Mortal Kombat Truck Tournaments tonight. Here's a look at those prizes below:
Also for those in Chicago, there is a secondary event tonight to attend if you want to play with other fans in-person. Our friends at
Galloping Ghost Arcade in Brookfield, IL will be doing a LATE night launch event today. The arcade will have the game in their cabinets at midnight and then will remain open until 4am for all your Kombat needs.
TRMK readers will get $5 off the $15 all you can play admission by mentioning TRMK at the door.
The exciting thing about this event is that the will get to show off their custom
Mortal Kombat (2011) Arcade cabinets. Built by Galloping Ghost themselves the cabinet sports a lag free
Asus VE278Q 27" LCD monitor inside a standard Midway style arcade cabinet. He even used
IL EuroSticks for the proper Mortal Kombat arcade stick feel. As you can see below this is a thing of beauty!
Also this Saturday at
Galloping Ghost Arcade there will be a
day long game tournament featuring not only
Mortal Kombat (2011) but other fighting games as well. So if Saturday works better for you, check out their
Facebook Event Invite for details, we will be there that day to check out the festivities!
