Only a few hours after the Mortal Kombat Legacy Trailer appeared we get the first episode of Mortal Kombat: Legacy. The first episode follows Sonya, Jax and Stryker perusing Kano and the Black Dragon Organization who are in the middle of moving stolen materials for project that is code named Cyber.



The first episode is free courtesy of Machinima.com but we're not currently sure what will happen with the remaining 10 episodes. Be sure to come back to Machinima this afternoon from 12pm – 4pm PST to watch the cast and crew of Mortal Kombat: Legacy playing the new Mortal Kombat (2011).

What do you fans think? We think this is a great start to hopefully a series that gets to go beyond just the Legacy of Mortal Kombat.

i think it is very kool they are still in DEACON CITY. So, are there 10 episodes left, or 9?

^ I guess 9 if this IS episode 1 ... The webseries is supposed to be 10 episodes in total ... But damn this was so short!! Was hoping for at least a 20-30 minutes episode :/

I loved it and wanted to pull my hair out when it was over, cant wait for the others.

after watching the first episode im officialy more hyped for mk legacy then mk 9

This debut episode was good. It showed enough to get you interested in the story and the universe it introduced, and then pulled back the reigns making you want more. Can't wait for the next episode.

I am going to give my honest opinion and just say not that good, sorry if you don't agree but the acting was pretty rubbish and I did not like the way that it just expected everyone to know what Mortal Kombat was there was no Intro or backstory or Naration although the fighting sequences is about all that was memorable it takes a little more for me to watch a program or a film just for the fighting..... Sorry to the die hard MK fans that love everything MK and the makers of this series but this has no story what so ever to it and don't know if I will bother with the next one The point is I did not care about anybody in it because they are not even people they are just there for 5 minutes and you know nothing about them and they do not even tell you about them so who really gives a shit

Thats how most movies start out, in the next one or two you should see them flesh it out more. I can think of dozens of great movies that start out in this fashion and flesh it out as it goes along.

Im loving this and like the fact that the director doesn't recourse to sluty girls to attract the audience..NRS has no moral and disrespect women in their upcoming game...When I see people complaining about the lack of slut I just dont get it...why dont u just go get one on the street??

I loved it personally I can't wait for other characters to pop in I watched it while on my way to school

I agree it was fairly slow and boring to begin with. I am hoping the next 9 will be as good as through original, released last year. maybe they should have made this one 20 mins to add some story to it rather than the way it just ends. Also, in the very beginning it looks like kabals mask being moved in the tray on the conveyor belt, but kano picks up an eye and the other guy data its a laser eye... Are kano and kabal made together?

During the LIVESTREAM the director said 9 total episodes in season one. Possibility of a season 2. Will Machinima.com keep showing these for FREE??? I hope so!!

I thought it was great! You people that are complaining about it being slow or not having enough back story are lost! It was 10 @$#%ing minutes long, how much back story on the characters could they possibly give you in 10 minutes. For it being slow, most movie start that way and work to a climax. People, bottom line is its not going to win any awards its mortal kombat so just enjoy it for what it is!

I really enjoyed this episode but i hated how short it was. I hope more episodes are made and the show becomes successful.

Hah, I like how the Mortal Kombat franchise is scrambling to redeem Stryker. No sarcasm, Stryker's pretty boss. I did like the episode as a whole. There were a few rocky moments, but I felt like it was a pretty good start to the series overall.

What?! Who's talking about sl*ts? and disrespecting women? What is that all about... It's just a game... Chill... I loved this first part, although found it little short...

I'm pretty sure they confirmed that each episode would only be around ten minutes long a while back.

The first episode should have just had character development and stayed away from the fighting but introduced a strong plot... It just jumped in too quick fair enough it has time constraints but the director said himself 9 episodes at 10 mins each is feature lenth... it could have played out like a flash back with sonya in hospital but he did'nt make me care about anyone so not a complaint just not doing it for me.... why did we need to see Jax and Stryker in the office talking about going in after sonya it would have been better to leave that as they just show up and then develop them and concentrated more on sonya's story... Trying to do too much in 10 minutes=fail

i like the dark tone of mortal rebirth better, it got me really excited. this feels too much like CSI
