It's Mortal Monday again and some new Mortal Kombat assets are starting to trickle in. This time a wallpaper of what appears to be part of a Raiden fatality is up on the Mortal Kombat Facebook Tab and in the GameStop Widget. Here is a preview of said Wallpaper below:



Thanks to @nsayeed for the heads up. While this is clearly not the "big time announcements" that are expected this week, it's nice to see some love for our favorite God of Thunder, Raiden.

Hahaha, sorry! It's supposed to represent me being like "awwwww yeeeaahhh" lol! I'm just stoked they're finally going to show Raiden in gameplay!! Renders are nice but but seeing him in-engine and represented in real-time, in a match is a whole new ballgame.

His in game model was already revealed. But his gamplay.... mmmmmm.... I hope we get a vid today. I really doubt this is what they are going to give us for Mortal Monday. They have never considered any of the shadow pics the update for any of the other characters. It'd just be a cop out this time around.

This is easily the coolest shadow wallpaper we've gotten. And sometime in the next week or two we'll be getting Raiden gameplay. So, uh...f*ck yes.

The GameStop widget has been updated. It now has Raiden's fight stance and a new wallpaper showing his Fatality in it.

Thanks! I liked his face better in the reveal trailer, it looks cartoony in this wallpaper. Hopefully it's not like that in-game. Still a cool wallpaper.

It looks like he makes people crumble into ash which I think could be even cooler looking than them blowing up in gore. Either way that just looks awesome

YEEEESSSSS!!! He has the lightning zapping around him again! And it is weird seeing Raiden with a hint of a 5 o'clock shadow in the wallpaper but I actually like it, makes him look more badass!
