After E3 2010 a friend of ours donated a great item to us for a contest. Our friend is Dan Amrich, who is now Activision's Social Media Manager OneOfSwords, sent us his personal E3 2010 Mortal Kombat shirt to giveaway. We then decided to bundle it with some other Mortal Kombat Games and T-Shirts that we had sitting around the office. Here is a picture of all that is included:

We've been waiting for a good time to do a giveaway, and now with the various video game industry events going on we thought it would be a good time. But since it's a pretty awesome prize package, we wanted to make you fans to have to do a little bit of work to win.

What we want you all to do is just a little creative writing. Simply describe to us, in at least 50 words:

How you would envision Goro as a character in the proposed Mortal Kombat Rebirth alternate reality?

E-mail your entry along with your name, address and TRMK forum username to: ADDRESS REMOVED. Feel free to send along anything like pictures or drawings to help explain your idea, but are not required.

All entries are due by Mortal Monday, September 13th 2010. Which is the 17th anniversary of the release of Mortal Kombat 1 for home consoles way back in 1993! We'll pick the best and then announce the winner later that week, and we may also post up the other best ideas that were submitted to us. Right now there is also no second or third place, but we're considering that option depending on the entry quality we get.

Said no less than 50 words, I'd imagine that means 321 is okay lol considering the equation below.. 321>50

I'd participate, but last giveaway on TRMK i won but the prize got lost in the mail or something (i don't live in the US). I know it's not TRMK's fault, so i don't want them to lose money on the shipping again, but i do wish luck to everyone

Submitted mine today. I hope it's okay that I didn't include my home address. Reason I didn't is because should be getting a PO Box soon but if any problems come up please let me know. Also my e-mail is the same as my username, linkueismoke.

Just posted mine last night. It's about 80 words. My name is Kyle Funk, so if you consider my submission, my username is bosbulls_MK(also made the username last night).

Thanks to everyone who entered our contest. We got a bunch of entries, looks awesome so far and we have a lot to process before we hand it off to the judges. Winner may not be notified for a week or so, depending on how well the voting round goes.

May have some runner-up prizes to give out now. I'll update depending on how close the final tally comes out to be. Will be sending out the voting page to our judges over the weekend.

hope you post all the entries would like to see what others came up with especially if i loose

I was thinking that mine was unique but now thinking of it I actually think that mine would have been one of the most obvious choices for him and my ending ruined it, But I would love to see how the others did and how well theres was planned out. Or even a more basic outline of each. Good luck to everyone though

In the trailer they tried to make the characters more realistically plausible, and that's how I approached my story. It still sounds rather far-fetched, but so did Reptile's origins.

TRMK Contest Finalists have been determined. We should be revealing the winners and the finalized prize packages later this week! The two runners up will also get prizes now thanks to some last minute swag additions from NetherRealm Studios! Sorry it took so long, but there was almost 70 entries to read, some VERY long. A few of us judges have been busy with other things as well, it wasn't easy to pick, but we got it.

So awesome to hear that NetherRealm got in on this contest too. Can't wait to see what other people posted. Any chances of "honorable mentions" getting shown too?
