Ever since fighting games began to be ported to home game consoles, one important question of the port is always "What arcade sticks are available to me on that system?" Lots of arcade sticks "could be better" and the best ones are usually way too expensive for most consumers. MadCatz is appearing to try to end that by putting together the upcoming MadCatz FightSticks and FightPads for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Because of all the hype building in the fighting game community around these offerings from MadCatz, we decided to take a look at their features in this Featured Preview of the FightSticks and FightPads. Here is a snippet of the piece:

Finally a major player has stepped up to the plate to offer what we hope is going to fill this void with an affordable option for a great and flexible fighting stick. MadCatz recently showed off their upcoming line of fighting sticks for Street Fighter IV at CES last week. The main difference between MadCatz' fighting sticks and other mass produced sticks on the market, is that MadCatz is trying to solve all the problems of game incompatibility, despite the massive Street Fighter IV graphics plastered all over the stick itself.

We are currently working to get a review of the products before their release date of February 20th, so check back in later next month as we will announce once the Review itself is coming. You can also pre-order them today by visiting the new The Realm of Mortal Kombat Store's Recommended Hardware section. Sadly, MK fans wont have these available in time for Friday's Fight the MK Developers as us fans could use any tools we can get our hands on to even the playing field a bit.

I just watched a review of these things from classicgamerooms on YouTube, they said that the joystick is very flimsy and when you make a sudden push in a direction, the entire pad would move. But that's just one review out of God knows how many others.

Off topic: Still won't show an edit option, Pat... On topic: What do you mean by "...even the playing field..."?

First, you can't edit news comments. Everything you say in the news section sticks as it feeds the frontpage news we have here. And your posts will soon be shown along with the news story on the TRMK articles. Maybe even later today I may work on adding this feature. Two, where are these reviews? The MadCatz new sticks and pads are not out yet, so I'd be surprised to see "countless" reviews of them on YouTube. So far only people I know who have gotten review units are the big companies, and they just got them this week. I checked the youtube member you mentioned, no mention of the sticks. Are you sure you are talking about the same ones we talk about here?

Woops! I was talking about the wrong one. I see, now that you updated the pictures, what you were talking about!
