Midway has released the third "Ultimate Mash-Up" video that profiles Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe's Story Mode. The videos will be released every week until release and will profile two sets of characters from both the Mortal Kombat and DC Universe as they interlock in battle during the game's story mode. This week's feature is Lex Luthor vs. Jax and The Joker vs. Kano. This is what Midway's press release had to say about the clip:

This week a struggle for power ensues between Lex Luthor and Jax, while The Joker and Kano engage in Mortal Kombat. Each trailer is loaded with both cinematic scenes and extended gameplay footage showcasing the full fighting experience found within Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.

So it looks like the story mode is just going to be cutscene, into a 1 vs 1 fight. Nothing like past konquest modes.
