Midway has provided us with all five of the new Mortal Kombat Fan Site exclusive screenshots from Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, that were released last night. These new shots show some the first official in-game looks at Baraka, Captain Marvel and Raiden.



Midway also officially sent out the box art that we reported on earlier, so here are the higher resolution images of the box art.



Update: Forum Member Snow has found this image on the Gamestop's website that depicts the box art for the Collector's Edition of the game. We don't have a higher resolution image yet, but I'd expect one from Midway soon.

Awesome. Everything is lookin A-OK...... ....except Baraka.

I think Baraka looks cool. All animalistic with sweet armor.

I like everything about Baraka except the armor. I dont know if its the color or what, but whenever I glance at it, I just think boring.

He seriously looks like he has a dress on or something. It looks awful. I was expecting alot more with him.

Now that is what the game cover should look like. That was obviously there plan. 1. Create a crappy looking boxart for the regular version. 2. Create a sweet looking boxart for Kollectors version so everyone buys that. 3. Success.

That'll be the Alex Ross removeable sleave then. Sweet.

You know, the closer I put my face to the screen and look at the Kollector's edition, the more my jaw hits the floor. I WANT A POSTER OF THIS COVER!!!

Run a Google Image search for Alex Ross. The guy is mind blowing.

The original doesn't look crappy at all, John Tobias did that one I believe from what I've heard due to the similar style and also did the comic book(and original MK comics) so I still love his style. The art styles are different obviously, this one seems more "dramatic" but both are very well done artisticly speaking. I think the KE one will appeal more to DC fans rather then MK fans, a lot of MK fans are happy John did some artwork for MK 8.

Yea I've got no problems with Tobias' artwork. And I assume that's the artwork that will be under the removable sleeve on the Kollector's Edition Box. That's how it is on the SCIV one anyway, removable artwork sleeve with other boxart below (and on the gamecase inside the metal box). I'm loving it really. But Baraka rubs me the wrong way too...dunno what it is.

Every time I see Raiden and Cpt. Marvel I'm just amazed. I want to play this game so bad...thank god I have so much to keep me occupied until November.
