GameStop has the details on what your extra $10 will get you when you purchase the Collector's Edition of Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Thanks, jagrizzle.
  • Velvet box packaging
  • Collectible glycee print
  • 16 Page Comic
  • "Making of" DVD & T-Shirt
In addition to the already announced comic book drawn by Mortal Kombat co-creator, John Tobias, it appears that fans will receive a little bit more than in previous Collector's Editions. Given the fact that a t-shirt will be included, the Velvet box will need to be large enough to house the shirt, game, DVD, and print. This should make the Collector's Edition of Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe very unique, compared to its predecessors.

Hot news, very, very awesome indeed! Definitely worth 10 extra bucks as oppose to most KE with just a tin case or something...

This info was up when I pre-ordered over a month ago. If the box is bigger that a standard Blu-Ray case I hope the comic will be standard TPB size

Well that sounds EXACTLY like the Soul Calibur 4 Limited Edition. That came in a metal case with just enough Height and Width to contain the normal DVD box inside and deep enough to house a folded T-shirt and mini-size 15-20 page comic book. I'm guessing that's what we'll get in this as well. P.S. I just pre-ordered my copy yesterday. W00t.

Right where it belongs. In a sealed wooden box in a government warehouse being pushed on a baggage cart down an endless row of similar wooden boxes never to be seen again....until MK & The Mystery of Shao Kahn's Skull where we will briefly glimpse it but nobody canon-wise will notice.

I liked that

MK4 sucked, yes, but it was worlds better than the 3 MK's that followed...

Except there wasn't a T-shirt or commic with SC4, my friend has SC4 Special Edition he just got a tin can case and the KAK thing. Kind of lame if you ask me but whatever... At least with this, we'll be getting something worth the extra 10 bucks! : ) I'm happy we will be getting something that's more then just a tin can or special art on the front.

I got the SC4 limited edition and I CAN tell you it has a T-shirt AND a comic. It also came with a code for extra DLC for Create-a-Soul.

Can you post pics of it please? I'd like to see how they look like. The T-shirt, comic I mean. And where did you get it because I hung out with my friend the day he got it and he didn't get a T-shirt or comic, just a Tin case, fancy artwork and the KAK special addition . He got his at Gamestop.

I ordered mine from Gamestop.com with the same-day arrival deal. Cost me an arm and a leg too, but considering the time I put in SCIV it was totally worth it. As for pics, I can't find my camera atm, but I know it's somewhere. The comic is small and around 15-20 pages. The T-shirt is god awful.

I've rarely seen a collector's edition not worth the extra cash. Hellgate: London's came with bonus in-game content and all the usual trappings (bonus DVD etc.). Bioshock came with multiple bonus discs and a Big Daddy figure (pretty big one too, mine's still snug in it's box). MKD Collector's edition had a sweet collectable box art as well as a port among other things. Devil May Cry 4 had a kickass metal case and a bunch of bonuses. And all you have to do is look at the Halo 3 CE to know it's awesome. Maybe it would be easier to list what CE wasn't worth it? I guess it comes down to what you think is worth 10 or 20 bucks versus 5. I think what comes in a CE is worth 10 bucks. But some of them are 20 bucks now...I don't think that's worth it. But look at the new Prince of Persia! You get the collector's edition free as long as you pre-order the game!

I`m so gonna get it.

I just want the comic book and the box. I'll take first dibbs on the other stuff. Also, anyone need a VGA cable for the 360? I have 3 extras...

I just wanted it for the comic but I am totally gonna wear the T-shirt all of the time. I might wear it at my wedding. EDIT: I just checked to make sure my pre-order is still fine and dandy, and saw this info on the PS3 version:
ALEX ROSS! JOYGASM! FURTHER EDIT: Checked the 360 page too, same thing, but no digital comic. Hmm, no T-Shirt. Shit.

Ok, my friend just told me he did get a T-shirt and comic but the shirt not right away. They had some issues with the store he reserved it at. That explains it. Probably one of those "limited stock" problems. He also said the comic was mehh, but the art was pretty cool.
