Its about time! Looks good. I hope especially the DC characters have 2nd & 3rd costumes with each being a diffferent version of the character.

LOL! No background! And what's with the patches?

I dunno if I like this render. Looks more like a new action figure, I liked the Superman better. I guess its just the background its on or something that makes Batman look more like a toy.

We've been told that there will be a version with background soon. Problem is we haven't seen this background yet. So, I wonder if it isn't ready yet to show, but the character render was. Who guesses that it'll be some destroyed Gotham setting?

AWESOME! The 'patches' thing looks like armour plating to me, more like the Batman Begins suit, which is what all you guys wanted anyway. It's there to try and keep both factions happy.

Worldscollide.com has the render w/ background

Yep and I've already photoshopped it to be black. It looks almost exactly like the Batman Begins suit now. I'll post it in the artwork section.

That's what I was thinking. It seems kind of strange to use that style but then to make it gray instead of black, even if it was a compromise to please both sides.

I dunno about a destroyed Gotham since they already have the destroyed looking Metropolis. I'm thinking more of a Batcave stage...destroyed or intact will do, as long as you can knock the giant penny around.

RE: It looking like a toy. Maybe it is the Lego Batman outfit?

Is this the same costume as in the trailer? Or is this a supposed second outfit? And check out the look on his face... He propably went through a few dozen shots of rotten bat guano.. :S

It looks to be exactly like the trailer from what I can see. A few polygons might be rearranged in the face but other than that...looks the same from to my eyes.

Something that still has bothered me since MK Vs. DC was announced... Its not "MK is copying Capcom", I think you'll find this is actually DC copying Marvel. Been doing it for the last decade. As a DC fan, let me tell you it gets dull considering you know DC should be better then this. -_-' (BTW it used to be the other way round... Where do you think X-Men came from? Answer: DC and Marvel guys had a famous golf match, JLA was mentioned, Marvel thought "thats a good idea" and then we had the x-men. Incidently... JLA is copy of another DC comic "Legion of Superheroes" just with a lot of big names in it)

And that just makes you wonder where the Avengers came from. Marvel and DC have been copying and drawing from each other for decades and decades. When you have so many superheroes there are only so many origins and powers and combinations of the two that you can have w/o there being some overlap or inspiration drawn from the other side.

It's no secret that Stan Lee and Bob Kane were buddies. And while the X-Men were a retaliation to the JLA, the JLA were a retaliation to the Fantastic Four.
