Your wishlist for MK10

UNfortunately for these days, a lot of gamers don't care about light-hearted or/and being nice to that player when playing online although it may be somewhat make a friendly facade when playing offline in a tournament til later on in real life. It's ALL about winning and insulting, like b,b,b,lp was saying.

Unless it was some type of offline city-wide tournament, the majority of players don't care to make any after-match talk or praises to each other almost all of the time.

I would agree with you Araknyd

If you could do a friendship whenever/whatever reason.


But when you set conditions for how that fatality can work.

You then create a scenario, where one player is rubbing in your face by using said conditions. To show you they can beat you not even trying their hardest.

It's a complete disrespect for the opponent's either skill, or want for a serious match.



A babality is a insult, not because of turning the opponent into a baby, but because you have to not block the last round to perform it.

Friendship meets certain conditions as well.

so to perform a friendship you must restrict yourself to half your moveset.
 
The tree branch was a perfect example, despite your inability to understand what I was saying.

So, if MK10 had Friendships with no preset conditions, would you all feel the same about it.
Would you still consider it to be an insult?

I don't think it would.

right, if you could do a friendship, under no special conditions.

It's not a insult.

It's a insult because you have to beat someone limiting yourself. And if your opponent knows you purposely did that. I dunno how else you can insult that has as much meaning as that.

Very unlikely Araknyd. Friendships are gonna have preset conditions, no matter what. If it indeed does, it would either probably be win the match without using any specials, or using only punches.

araknyd isn't wishing for such a thing. (I mean he might, but in the context of his post, he wasn't aiming for that in his question)

he's just re-assuring himself of the stance I told him I have.

aka reconfirming, by eliminating a variable, then asking if my opinion changes, which it does.

Yeah I'm not sure I'd consider it a rub in nor more than a normal fatality.

Fatalities while I'm butt hurt cuz I don't want my time wasted.

Fatalities themselves don't affect me because you can just do them. I think most people that do them, do them just to do them. Not to rub it in.

So I'd feel the same way about friendships.

I'd still be annoyed by them. But It wouldn't have the strength to insult me like baby's do now.


On the record if a friend babies me I'm cool. like if BBBLP babies me today, It wouldn't bother me.

Anyways, on topic. Yeah, fatality or not, players will still insult each other no matter what the outcome is, unfortunately.

I do fatalities cuz it's Mortal Kombat. Unless I don't feel like it, I will do them no matter what.

Not gonna lie If I obliterate a newbie, I'll baby him.

I've been babied before as well, and I always respond with Good game.

60% of the douchebags you meet, I believe they are trying to pre-douchebag before you douchebag.


I've had it where someone beat me once and said "lol, cheap ass easymac and you still lost"

I responded with "Good game"

and he sent back... "yeah GG's man."


I honestly think alot of people are being dicks because they auto assume you're just another dick as well, and this is jsut creating a non-stop cycle of hate lol.
 
Indeed. I agree with you on the whole Critical. And just to put note on all of you:

Even though I DO have a headset, I don't bother using it at all, unless I needed it if I was in a XBL party. But overall, when I do my matches, I keep the silent treatment, go to my next opponent. I'm not a big talker when it comes to battling.

That's what I'm trying to get at. ;)
I do fatalities, just to do them, because I feel like it's part of the game, not to rub it in.
The same would go for Friendships, if they didn't have a preset condition.
 
So wait, are you guys FOR friendships returning, or AGAINST it? I, for one, would love to see them return, as it adds more variety to the different finishers.
 
What? No I don't. Out of the hundreds of matches I've won, I've probably done a fatality 25 times. I find finishers a waste of time, so I only do them on Kano players.
 
I'd want them to come back, but without you having to do anything special in the match to do them.
That way, you could do them and people wouldn't get mad at you for doing it.
Give it more of a Friendship vibe.
 
I've been playing Castlevania and the more I see Gabriel's movesets the more i would like to see A male vampire type character in mk. Not necesscarily Gabriel's version of dracula, but one with his ability to manifest weapons and heal himself by drinking the blood of his enemies.
