iVital, for me, a good Kabal is really hard to beat. Played a guy called "Wooolay" last night, and no matter how close I got, I just couldn't beat his Kabal.
 
i want in. but i dont understand the whole "two characters" i use over half the roster, does that mean there is a rule i can only use two?
if so i will be using
johnny cage for my main
and for my second i will either use nightwolf, reptile or liu kang.

Pooping, yes the rule is, you state now which two characters you want to use, then those are the only two characters you use for the duration of the tournie. If you want to have a think about who your second main will be, that's fine. As long as you have decided before all 16 slots have been filled. Thanks!

I think it would be fun to also have a losers bracket, I would love to be the best loser :) I think everyone should have all character and outfit patches.
 
Wow, I just got back from work and a ton more people joined! Must nearly have a full 16 now! :D

EDIT: Okay, if GUTZ confirms his friend, that brings the total to 15.

@jbellO, well im hoping by tomorrow that we'll have all 16 people available. If that's the case i'll put everyone into the competition template that i showed in my opening post, and it automatically randomises everyone into matches. Once that has happened, i'll scan the pic and put it either here, or in a new thread. I'll try and get all that done by Sunday at the very latest. And then if we say, everyone has until next weekend (1 week) to get their first round matches done, how does that sound? I understand people have other commitments, hence a whole week should be enough time. If everyone gets done sooner though, so much the better!

@saix88, the tournament is a knockout event, and forgive me for my ignorance, im not entirely sure how a "losers bracket" works. If you or anyone could explain and it can fit into this, then cool. I'm going to have a 3rd place match between the two losers of the semi-final. Would it literally work, that the 8 losers from the 1st round, then have a knockout mini tournie of their own? I have no problem setting something like that up, if you want.

@Exemery, like I said, the only prize is bragging rights! It's all a bit of fun, and you never know, you might catch someone on a bad day ;)

Additionally, it'd be nice if we could get some of these matches recorded.

Saix im confident that we'll have all 16 people by the end of tomorrow. I'm not working this weekend, so I can do some work on setting this all up, and hopefully by Sunday at the very latest, we can all get started.
 
Exemery, don't worry, i'll have everything set up by Sunday, possibly Saturday. Im aware that people have other responsibilities, commitments, so if I give a week from then to everyone to arrange to meet their opponent for their first round match, that should be more than enough time. Ideally, everyone wont need that long. In the event that someone can't arrange their match within a week of the "launch" of the tournament, i'll DQ them, as it wont be fair on everyone else to just keep waiting.

In the event that everyone gets their 1st Round matches finished well within a week, then we can move onto Round 2 much quicker.
