I'm not slamming WoW but has anyone encountered the addict aspect of its fan base? You know the ones, never move from their computer screens, become extremely unreliable, never go outside, get angry when you mention that they may have a problem. My brother suffers from this addiction and has a non existent social life and very rarely ventures from home.he's 24 now and it has taken me 4 years to convince him to get a job. He still lives at home and my parents were supporting his habit until last year. When he finally relented and got a job he funneled all his money back to the game. I've been a gamer for many many years and have never encountered a game that made me surrender my life completely I tried wow and I don't see what the big deal is. Has anyone else had this problem?

I dont see what make people No life WoW. I downloaded the trial version last year and got bored of it the first 30mins of gameplay, i know people who play the game but they dont no life i though.

Yeah, after a while you just end up pressing one button, or if you are at least a mage that is. I did the trial, and I'm like level 5, and I only play occasionally.

WoW was the 'new' crack like 4 years ago. It was addictive at one point with friends, but I hardly see how it can be addictive these days when the game has become so casual. It isn't uncommon to hear that "WoW is dead", but I think it has become a reality over the past year that subscriptions are quickly dropping, which is most likely why Blizz is focusing on their new upcoming MMO project, Titan.

I think TRMK is worse than WoW in the crack category. Trust me, I have tried both.

Just no.

Just no.

You sum up everything perfectly here. WoW was fun as hell, 4 years ago.

Last time I checked, WoW is too cool for hardcore gamers and too nerdy for causal gamers.

I really dont see any game as "hardcore" or "nerdy" its all the same shit to me. I mean there is uber casual like wii party games but thats another story. I think I already explained this somewhere. (ok maybe warcraft is an exception lol it has risen to nerd status quite alot)

But yeah, I hate Warcraft and all MMO's really. You can be addicted to any game, but this one has had the most stories on it of people being addicts. I think they even made a documentary on WoW addicts somewhere on youtube. "Do not Want" is also usually what always comes to mind when someone mentions warcraft.

I think the only game I ever played with close to that kind of devotion was soul calibur on dreamcast and that was because I wanted to learn kilik inside and out.I killed all of the winter wearing that game out. I started playing in September and when I went outside next it was may.
