Who is your "nemesis" in MK 2011 ?

I'd have to agree with everyone. It's Raiden that I just can't seem to get, especially when I'm in a corner. When people overuse his teleport and lunge, I get annoyed and I play worse.
You'd think a godlike character in a game wouldn't be so crappy and boring to fight against.
 
Raiden but I blame online for me not being able to punish his teleports like I can offline. Next would be Scorpion. I'm good against good ones, but I can't predict the bad ones as well. I don't always lose, mostly because my punishes are a lot better but I still struggle when them more than most.
 
raiden and ermac, starting to get a bit peeved at some of the liu kang players, need some work on figuring them out. I used to have trouble with smoke players but not so much anymore. i was playing a dood who was raiden, he was camping then teleporting then throwing me i couldnt do **** all

I pretty much agree, except the teleport and superman abuse. I love when that happens, because it's always fun working around it and punishing it. Getting stuck in the corner against Raiden though...not good. Wake ups are my best friend.
 
When I use my main Scorpion. Kung Lao, Johnny Cage & Raiden usually (under a *skilled* player) will give me a run for my money. But I mean really I can relate to everyone here on any character. I rarely get Noob players and when I do I pick Noob to (He's my partner in crime next to Scorpion lol).
 
I dislike Raiden and Smoke most of all, but I wouldn't say they are my nemesis I mean come on, Raiden saved the world right? =]
 
I haven't been able to play online yet, but offline it's definitely Ermac and Reptile. I always seem to be at the right distance for Ermac's moves and Reptile just annoys the hell out of me.
 
Smoke, Scorpion, and Raiden Im still having a hard time against people who use teleporters although Ive got Smoke read pretty good and hardly ever loose to a Smoke player now and getting better against Scorpion users. Raiden however I think I have yet to win a match against him, especially since everyone spams the hell out of him.
 
Yeah, at first I was loosing to Smoke, but once I knew him better he became easier to counter and now he's not a problem.
Raiden....ugh....that's another story

Yeah Smoke is easy to punish most users end up spamming the tele punch when they have less the half their health gone lol.

Raiden im still trying and trying to read him better but no matter the type of experience the opponent has I have the hardest time seeing whats coming. His moves are so damn fast
 
Its unbelievable how fast the guy's torpedo is.

I don't think its ever been that fast.

Plus the shit can go through Sektor's flamethrowers sometimes!


I say either make his teleport easier to punish, or give the torpedo a slowdown.

Torpedo = most *****ass wake-up attack ever
 
does everyone think johnny cage is cheap or something? cause hes one of my mains and everytime im in KOTH i always get 0.0s. its not like im spamming or anything im doing combos and shit, because i dont think johnny is cheap. oh yeah and i hate kano and cyrax(only because kids think their good running around bomb trapping)

I have zero problems with Johnny Cage although your probably getting zeros if you repeat moves alot or a majority of the time people give out zeros just to be dicks

I'm discovering that lol. I just get thrown off my game and by the time I can start recovering he/she already has a solid cushion on me. It's rough lol.

When I first started playing, teleporters gave me problems. I really had to work to get around them and to not let them just side-step my gameplan. However, something I've become good at now is working teleporters really hard. It doesn't work against more experienced players, but when I land some good combos on my opponent and dodge some of their attacks and otherwise make their life difficult then they tend to panic and start throwing out a lot of ill-conceived, unsafe teleports. Baiting and pressuring works wonders on all the Scorpion players who just use him because he's easy to pick up and play.

Kung Lao and Kano, for online and Quan Chi and Sheeva, for single player. I always dread fighting them
