Shoa Kahn.

The guys at midway said they are trying to bring him back into the big picture.

He is properly going to be the next big boss again.

Kahn. To be honest, I'd be downright shocked if he wasn't the boss in the next game.

I don't know why you put Raiden in your poll, though. He still fights on the side of good.

dude im totally rooting for dark raiden, because he isnt the slow but powerfull type like khan or onaga he can be super fast deliver some damn goood combos and have multiple styles(new ones) unlike khan or onaga, imean think about it the big bosses like onaga are totally predictable, but raiden he is like a real challenge.

I pick Shinnok because I haven't seem him in awhile. He wasn't all that powerful either. He fought like a regular kombatant, but could still kick your ass. And besides, Shao Kahn doesn't wear underwear.

Yeah, they did way to much to him to let him just float away. It'll probably be Kahn as boss, and Goro as sub-boss.

I would say Shao Khan. However in Ermac's ending I think someone else maybe the boss. Maybe Shinnok or someone new, depending if Ermac's story was ending was followed in someway, if not exactly.

so I assume that you all don't want the deadly allaince to return either? or are they dead for good?

How many times does someone have to bring up that tired-as-hell old quote, "no one ever really dies in Mortal Kombat"? They're NOT dead for good. I think it would be stupid to see both parts of the alliance return as boss characters, especially when alliance only existed for that one tournament, but you can bet that you'll see Shang Tsung and Quan Chi in future MK games.

I say that Kahn will be the next boss right? Well supposedly a greater Evil has been provoking everything so this one being can get himself back together.

So for the next game Kahn will properly be the big boss agiain. BUT at the end of it, or in the next game, the real bad guy will be revealled. Namely whoever or whatever this 'one being' is. And so while MK7 may revolve around Kahn again, MK 8 may revolve around him.

sub zero

I think they good be planning to make sub zero the new boss or semi-boss
like noob-smoke.

Warning Spoilers-------------------------------------------------------------

Im basing this on his ending in Deception when he is atacked but his armor
reacts and gives him the strentgh to fight of the horde of enemys,
Then one of them shout shouts somthing along the lines of
"All hail the Dragon king" Which could mean that they acknowalge sub zero
as the new dragon king. Havent really got more to back it up but as far as know he found that armor on outworld so it could be strechted that he found the dragon kings ancient armor.

ps can someone clear up what shou kahn and goro are doing back alive i thought shou kang was killed bye the deadly allliance.
sorry if this was posted before new to fourms

The "Shao Kahn" the Deadly Alliance killed was really just a clone, and Goro, although stabbed in the back by Noob Saibot on the battlefield, was ressurected by the real Kahn.

Goro put his emblem on another Shokan who was laying beside him, to make everyone think he had died.

Hope that clears it up a bit for you.

Shoa Kahn & Goros return, although popular was only for the GameCube version of Mortal Kombat Deception...i so they arent really still alive ..althou there is that saying about MK charectors never dying , it was to make up for GameCubes lack of online play...so basically one has to just dismiss everything about Goro & Kahn.....
I also vote for Evil Raiden being the next boss..that'd be sick as hell

The full extent of the One Being's manipulation is unknown, and it is unsure whether his plan had succeeded. The general consensus with fans, however, is that it indeed succeeded and, in result, the One Being will be the final boss, albiet possibly in a weakened state, in the next game of the series.

It is also rumored that the One Being, working through the undead priest Havik, resurrected Liu Kang's corpse to serve as a distraction along with the thunder god Raiden, who had grown angry after discovering the state Earthrealm was kept in by Mortal Men and the actions of Shujinko, who is solely responsible for resurrecting Onaga to keep any forces wishing to foil its plans from doing so. While it is a rumor, it would seemingly sound convincing, especially when Havik is one who thrives on chaos and carnage.

Um I'm going to disagree. You see it would be terribly stupid having added those characters and found ways to link them into the game just so they could appear on GC. I think it's for real. I think they'll go with it because it leads perfect into the best of both worlds. Because Kahn and Goro never hooked up as Boss/Sub-Boss.

I cant see Goro coming back....althou i can see the return of Shoa Kahn...see Kahns return in the game is forseen in Haviks ending ..not just becauce he was put into the Gamecube version of the game ...becuase in Haviks enindg ...he rips out the Dragon Kings heart and consumes it ...thus consuming Onagas ability to reanimate the dead ....and he ends up resurrecting Shoa Kahn...but Havik is all about chaos and bringing back Kahn would go against his "morals"
