Common known MK fact: MK tournement is held every 50 years.

Edit:\

50 years when the tournement was first set up would be the average lifespan if you were lucky. So 50 years makes up the ancient lifespan of one generation to the next. Yeah I know that doesn't make much logical sense. Who cares. I don't. Sue me! :P

Edit:\ end

Goro beat Kung Loa 500 years ago and had 9 victories.

1- 500 years ago
2- 450 Years Ago
3- 400 YA
4- 350 YA
5- 300 YA
6- 250 YA
7- 200 YA
8- 150 YA
9- 100 YA
10- 50 years ago... Wait...

Something isn't right now I look at it... O.o'

The years don't match up!!!!

The tenth tournment should have happened 50 years before it did or something... Unless the first one where he stole it doesn't count and it started after it with them holding onto it. In which case it would match up with Lui time to fight.

Goro was going on a 500 year streak when the 10th tournement took place ... it was his 10th titlte defense..the years match up.. he was defending the title for the 10th time in a 500 year span...the 10 taking place once every 50 years ...even in the first game of this series it says hes been champ for 500 years

Putting a time on generations is like putting rancid milk in your cereal. It's stupid. That doesn't HAVE to mean he did it every 50 years. Let's think outside of the box for a second...

Now ANYWHERE in the game does it say every generation? Because now that I think about it I've only heard that in the movie, and I know I was the one who said every generation to begin with but let's know that the movie ran it's own little story. So I guess I'm at fault for saying that. Sorry.

Now I would say that Earth would be rather hard pressed if they had to come up with their 'Chosen One' every fifty years. I'd imagine over the course that maybe many generations went by at a time before they actually decided "this dood there will be good, go win Earthrealm's freedom"...

Then again I honestly don't think any of us could answer this question. Most likely John Tobias or Ed Boon would need to.

Besides, this all started from me just taking a shot in the dark that it might be time for the next tournament as the original characters were coming more and more sparse with each passing game.

With all these new characters isn't it about time for another Mortal Kombat Tournament? Every generation right? Out of the original 11 characters...

Kano - Not in Deception
Johnny Cage - Not in Deception
Raiden - In Deception
Liu Kang - In Deception but dead
Scorpion - In Deception
Sub-Zero - In Deception
Sonya - Not in Deception
Reptile - Not in Deception unless he really is the Dragon King, has that been proven?
Ermac - In Deception
Goro - In Deception
Shang Tsung - Not in Deception

How was Ermac in the first mortal kombat?

There was a glitch in which Scorpion's pallete would fail to load, so he would be red with the word Ermac (Error Macro). I'm not sure whether or not it was proven to be real, but that's the story behind it.

Yeah, so technically you can't say Ermac was in MK1, because this was only an error and not an actual, separate character.

I vouch on my life that i have seen ermac in mk1... and not ermac the charater we love, the actuall error macro.

Noob

Noob is such a badass, he should be the boss. I don't think Shao Kahn will be it, because, well it wouldn't make sense. He wasn't even included in the Xbox or PS2 versions of Deception, so i don't think it would work. Noob is the king!

i think its going to be the One Being because the story(and some endings) in MKD was leading into the One Being story

I always thought Shinnok could have been a great boss, but they completely cheapened him in MK4/MKG. I mean, he's a fallen elder god! Hello! Can you get any more evil than that?

As for the next boss, I think it should be revealed that Raiden is possessed by the One Being, and that he should be the final boss.

I still say it will properly be Kahn. Because the game cube verison features his return. You must remember - Newer verisons of the game overwrite older verisons. GC verison overwrites normal verison in other words just as UMK3 overwrit MK3.

dragon

i think that the one being is the dragon of all the covers of mortal kombat, think guys the dragon always represent MK, that's 'cause the dragon is the one being, the new boss and the supreme ruler of MK.....

That could be possible, but I wouldn't want to see another Dragon like character after Onaga, then again Onaga being the only Dragon like of his kin, if their are others like him is kind of whack if their is no story saying if there were others looking like him and if there were, what happened to them. Unless he is the only one of his kind, do to whatever. I think I am mising something. Still if the One being in the game is bad and possibly that Dragon from the MK logo, we'll just have to wait and see. Having the ONE being should be played out and thought out carefully, so the story doesn't suck. I wouldn't want the ONE being looking like a Dragon anyway. Also having the ONE being if they do, kind of makes the franchise seem like it's ending...

the next game will properly, reveal the plot the one being is cooking up. Then MK8 will end up being everyone trying to stop the one being.

Why do I get the idea if they do feature the 'one being' I'm so not gonna like it... :?
