Which Characters are Waste of Slots?

She uses a pulse gun (on her gauntlet) and some lame drone with other guns. She definitely sucks gameplay wise. Now Cassie is a really good character and if Sonya has something even remotely cool they could just give it to Cassie.

Ermac has TK.

TK > drone and grenades.

maybe i dont remember because she is so BORING. She uses that robot thing and bombs.... Now if you can sit there and say they could not give those 2 things to cassie then you are full of it. Also i was only stating my opinion just like everyone else did. So you need to back off man.

Kenshi is telekinetic, too, so what exactly is your point here? That's like me saying "Kenshi is a really good character, so if Ermac has something even remotely cool they could give it to Kenshi." Your logic is very flawed.
 
Thank you Cryo for having some sense. Now Ermac is my fav but i have said many times i could live if he dies or is not in the next game if there is one. But even if Ermac was not in this game i would feel the same way about Sonya if Cassie existed. I hate Jax daughter but she is at least a lot different from Jax, He cant get arms that will shock someone whatever it does, But Cassie can definitely have bombs and a drone. She is not needed in the game. She seems to have the same goals Johnny has, At least Ermac seems to have conflict with Jax daughter.
 
Li Mei instead of Sonya
Anyone instead of Reptile (Rain maybe)
Anyone instead of Jax (it'a just a filler without any relevance)
Reiko or Havik instead of Ermac (as much as I want to play as him)
Fujin instead of Kung Lao

And anyone who is a safeplay for Boon and NRS or the make casuals happy.

Most people would replace her with a character with powers. Another military chick who uses a gun. She serves what purpose exactly? shes just there... They did not NEED her in that chopper scene. Is she just here to get knocked out all the time?

I LOVE Sonya gameplay wise. She is the main female I use. Now, why do you consider YOUR OPINION to be objectively more correct than mine? You have your Ermac. Leave my Sonya alone.

They're both completely hypocritical. 'Sonya's inclusion is unnecessary; all of her moves could be given to Cassie!'

Meanwhile, Ermac and Kenshi...

Johnny - Sonya relationship is one of the most important building blocks of the story. Ermac-Jacqui is just a small quirk to make him job yet again.

Also, Cassie plays nothing like Sonya.
 
Ok so i've heard alot of what ppl are saying but have yet to see much of it. but if what i am hearing is true then...
Spoiler:
Kitana, Kung Lao & Liu Kang
are the wasted spaces bc they don't have a Chapter in the Story and are also unplayable.
This i am alittle heated over bc they could have been in the story and explained what was going on, but for them to be playable is a waste IMO. Their spots definitely could've been given to Fujin, Havik and Reiko, or other characters important to the story...Comic & Story Mode alike.

But like i said its just my opinion especial since ive seen alot of ppl mention the above point.

Did i ever say it was? most people would agree that shes boring. Also maybe this is not the thread for you if you cant handle opinions. I am giving reasons why I THINK this character is a waste.

Also lmao i knew Kenshi would be brought up. Kenshi did not really need TK anymore they could just have his attacks be the spirits.
 
I never said Sonya is a waste of a slot.

And I can't see how Ermac and Kenshi play alike, Ermac is a pure telekinetic, Kenahi only has one TK move, his TK push and he only has that in one variation, the rest of his moves are based on his spirit clone and Sento's demon.

Did anyone say they play alike? Pretty sure i said those moves could have been given to Cassie.

OP i wish you would have made this thread so we could vote and see which characters most people feel are a waste.

I am no longer having this discussion. All i can say is if we have a poll with all the characters in the game and have everyone vote we could see how people truly feel.

Only the Trmk people. And only those who care to vote.

No, the real statistics are the character usage which will be available.and representative in few months. Up until than, you can look up those same statistics for Sonya in MK9. It seems that many people do like using her.
 
I'm not a fan of Sonya, but if she was not in the game it would feel pretty strange since Johnny is. Especially since both survived MK9. It'd be like a game with Sub-Zero, but no Scorpion. Oh wait, that was MK3, and look how wack that was, lol.

Yea fair enough. Sorry if you felt i was bullying you. And yea she did survive MK9 but i hope they eventually pass the torch. I dont want the same characters repeated over and over so i feel the same for Ermac, KL, Jax and some of my other favs. The series needs to move on and bring back some of the MKD characters and have other worlds be involved instead of boring outworld and earthrealm.
