Which actors/actresses would be wrong for any characters in a new live movie/tv show

In this thread, you mention which actor/actress you think would be wrong for any of the characters, and explain why if possible.

I'll start with Sheeva. The worst actress who could portray her imo is Michelle Rodriguez. She would be predictable, ugly (I know Sheeva isn't considered beautiful by many, but I disagree) and her "tough girl" persona is too much of the insecure kind. "I'm a badass! See? I'm a badass! Oh, and did I tell you that I'm a badass?" is the vibe I get from her. I'd welcome Rodriguez as a new, made up character (al la Art Lean from the first movie) though. Preferably a marine, cop or thug, that is brutally slain.

Stryker: Vin Diesel. Another crappy action star of the current generation, and I'm tempted to say the male equivalent of Michelle Rodriguez. I could not bear to imagine Stryker with his look and persona. But like Rodriguez, Vin Diesel could always play some generic marine, cop or thug that does not survive.

Second worst choice would be Jason Statham, but it depends either on how he plays the character, or how Stryker's character is written. I personally thought Statham was good in the Death race remake, so maybe in his case it truly depends on the writing more than his acting skills.
 
Wouldn't it make more sense to ask what actors WOULD be good to play the MK characters?

I mean, we could easily fill this thread up with stuff like "Michael Cera would be awful as Jax"
 
Yeah, it could turn into a joke thread. Which is why I'll add the following requirement for this thread: Pick bad actors/actresses (in your opinion) that are likely to be cast as any of the characters. No Eminem as Liu Kang, for instance.

I think it's important to talk which actors/actresses should not get anywhere near any of the characters, because I could see Hollywood making bad choices. Michelle Rodriguez as Sheeva is one I could see happen, and I dread the possibility.

Michelle Rodriguez isn't ugly though...
 
That's a matter of opinion. I certainly feel she wouldn't do Sheeva's appearance justice, unless the makeup made her completely unrecognizable (assuming the likes of Sheeva weren't CGI characters of course). Even then, if she played/voiced Sheeva just like her usual characters it would be boring.
 
you should have asked both, which would be good AND bad actors for characters, so I'm just gonna start this

GOOD
Kenshi - Keanu Reeves

BAD
Stryker - Seth Rogan (would be perfect for MK3 Stryker though)
