What game are you playing right now?

I don't mind long intros but I sometimes get irritated because I just want to start the game.

The beginning of Far Cry 2 involves you sitting in the back of a cab, being driven to your hotel, for about 5 minutes.

Now, 5 minutes doesn't really sound long, but it is when you get antsy and just want to play. It was the longest 5 minutes ever and I was just like HOLY SHIT, GET TO THE HOTEL.

This game have no skip options? lol

I also dislike games that let you skip it.... only after you're forced to watch it once. I mean if someone REALLY wants to just play the game and not know what's going on why stop them?

My dad doesn't care at all about starcraft 2 storyline, but he loves the game, and skips all the cutscenes/storyline.

MGS4 IMO is very epic because of the story telling. But that's me.

I like my MGS's half a movie half a strategic game. Atleast they keep it entertaining enough (For 1 time through)

Nope, no skips, I was so mad, lol.

I started playing it about a week ago and I made the mistake of starting really late at night when I could barely hold my eyelids up so I had just completed the ride and there is another scene after that so no save points yet. I was just so tired I turned it off.

Really irritating to go through that drive again, lol.

I think some of you may have misunderstood me. I wasn't talking about minutes-long cutscenes. I don't mind those too much. What I mean is actual gameplay sections at the beginning that are obviously introductory but take several hours. Examples include the hours you spend in Skyloft w/o anything resembling a dungeon in Skyward Sword, or the part at the beginning of Kingdom Hearts II where you play as Roxas.

I didn't misunderstand you. I find 5 minutes doing nothing but sitting in the back of a jeep to be a long time when I just want to ****ing blow people away.

It reminded me of playing as kid link, finding The Kokiri Sword, getting enough rupees for The Wooden Shield. I enjoyed it. :)

I beat skyward sword :d

I just got it on friday an I'm taking my time with it, because I can only take the motion control for a little while, before I wanna throw it at my t.v. cause it's mandatory and you can't use a standard controller.

Agreed.
When you play ANY MGS game, long cut-scenes are expected.
Granted, MGS4 had the longest cut-scenes in MGS history, but I expected it.

OT:
I've been playing MK9 again for the last 3 weeks after a bit of a hiatus.
Picked up Shang Tsung and Rain.
Never thought that Rain would be a go-to character, but he compliments my play-style. 8)

I downloaded Just Cause 2 so I plan on playing that tonight before my life gets taken over by RE tomorrow.

Yeah, looks like I will be going to grab it in the morning.

I was hoping for a midnight release. Oh well.

It is right across the street from my apartment so it's not like I have to go far lol.

I was seriously going to buy it last night!

The only thing that stopped me was that I had no ****ing idea what it was about.

I might buy it when I am done with RE.

My body hurts from playing RE all day yesterday.

I shall make it hurt more later when I play all night <3
