What are your greatest fears/phobia?

Insects in my room at night. I cannot sleep if something is flying or Fremont around my room. Once, my room got infested with ants, I didn't sleep in their for a month, despite the fact that the exterminator came after a week.

Once when I was helping one of my friends and his family get ready for the grand opening of their winery we were moving big rocks from one side of a creek to the other so they would look nice around their sign. I picked one up and a black widow was crawling up it towards my arm! I said "Oh shit!" and immediately dropped the rock, and told my friends that I saw a black widow. We cautiously continued working. After we bottled some wine we went back out to move more rocks, I saw the black widow again on another rock I picked up, this time I dropped it and it ended up on it's back where we observed it flailing around for a while before we crushed it with a rock. It was pretty scary.

Spiders aren't so much of a fear for me though, I usually see a decent sized spider in my bedroom once every couple of weeks. The only reason I take them out is because I don't want them crawling in my mouth when I sleep or something. I guess one of my biggest fears is living the rest of my life alone. That would be lame.

That was close ...

death, the unknown, dying alone, hights, and public speaking

EDIT: found more

meeting new people, not meeting new people ............i know i am a contradiction :P

Heights and Clowns...My childhood was scarred by clowns.

Yeah! I almost forgot! I am afraid of clowns too. Pennywise is the cause of my caulrophobia.

Oddly enough, I am VERY afraid of lightning....yet most of my favourite characters revolve around lightning.....really weird, I guess.

Spiders....I don't give a shit how big they are, I hate them ALL. I will either freeze or freak out and crush it to death with any long object I can grab.

Great White Sharks....don't care about them until they open their mouths. Then, my heart starts to race and I cry like a b!tch.

lol! Fear of lightning.. :D

I'm scared of anything supernatural. **** that shit.

Me too.

I don't know if it's a phobia or not, but I get real antsy when it gets that windy-dark-about-to-storm look outside. It used to be real bad when I was little, it kind of freaked my family out because it was like I had some weird sixth sense about knowing when bad weather was coming. Looking back I think it came from getting caught in a bad storm walking home with my dad when I was about 3 or so.

Another fear of mine is connected with RE4.. I am really afraid when I hear Iron Maiden's or Regenerator's gnarl and seeing them is like a hell to me..

Being trapped deep underwater in an ocean or lake. I don't know if there's an actual -phobia for this, but I get pretty freaked out when it comes to unknowing what is truly beyond the depths of an ocean. Yet I love the Cthulhu mythos and most underwater animals.

Its like on most video games, even till this day, I generally freak out when I'm underwater. The fact of there being some GIGANTIC underwater creature about to completely devour me while I'm helplessly trapped a mile under a pitch black sea. .... Yeesh. No thank you.

You mean like a 46 ft (14 meters) giant squid ? :)

i dont knw what this phobia is called but im deathly afraid of goin in elevators. if theres stairs ill take them but not elevators.

I was actually stuck in an elevator just yesterday for 15 minutes... kept shaking and moving down in small bursts before it eventually decided to stop at a random floor where noone was 5 floors below where it stopped. There is no way I'm getting back on m uni elevators.

@Etryus - Exactly, hahaha or maybe something like from RE4 with that mutated Alligator-creature. Or that giant Red Eel on Mario 64. I get the chills just thinking about it.
