Yeah, the only sticking point is when I think "MK boss," I don't really think "Mileena" as a good fit.
 
Onaga would be nice if he forced Kotal Kahn and Reiko to stop the civil war to team up against him, like in the old days of the comics flashbacks. That dynamic duo.
 
I think the final boss is Liu Kang as well. I think him becoming bad would surprise a lot of people since most casuals won't see it coming. Not to mention NRS has been quite about him since Ed Boon even admit that he can't comment on him. I hope he won't be playable unless it's for a tower mission if Liu Kang is the final boss.
 
I'm not sure, it could be Liu Kang since it would be a surprise in some ways, and the lack of knowledge on him is also suspicious, but I have a feeling it's going to be someone completely unexpected like Daegon or Reiko.

I think the boss is going to be Daegon or Johnny Cage. Possibly even Tanya if she steals the Kamidogu like she did in MKD.
 
I have no idea who the boss may be. I think Shinnok was the easiest bet in the beginning but with so many possibilities and theories, I've no clue. I was really going with the idea that Liu kang will return and be hella pissed at Raiden and turn against him, making him a likely candidate. However, even as a fire god I don't get a boss like feel from him

I do like the idea of a female boss, but I think it was confirmed a while back that the boss would be male. Though if we ever did get a female boss I think Sindel would be perfect for it. Tanya would be good, but i think being a Queen, Sindel has a much powerful presence about her.
 
I vote Rain. That would just be sick as hell. I mean for the love of God, I'd love for him to at least be A PART of the story in the game. For once.
 
I guess there is some blank places on Liu Kang as Final Boss theory. First, we just know only one reason to be a big bad for him, that is revenge on Raiden. Final bosses always wants to conquer Earthrealm, if Liu Kang does, he will need something like armies, generals, warriors etc. Maybe Liu Kang in conspiracy with the brotherhood of shadow to defeat Raiden.

Some of the people we've seen get in contact with the blood thing were Kuai Liang, Raiden and Kotal Kahn. Now that I think about it, an evil version of Kuai Liang could make a cool boss (and Sub-Zero would be purified Bi Han) and he'd certainly be a surprise returning character.

I really like this theory. Would be a good explanation for the "inverse Noob" tweet too.
Other than that, i say its Liu Kang. Main reason being, he still isn't announced...
 
Rain still is alive and he is pissed on Kotal, so I hope he's the final boss in a team with Tanya, just to piss all this interesting-character haters off.
