Re: How'd you come up with your screen name?

When they released the 1st Socom US Navy Seals game on PS2 (2002), I had been beta testing it and I had to come up with a username for PS2 online which would actually be fitting in a clan (my buddies & me were forming) as well.

As my friends say I'm always giving kinda Weird comments and stuff I referred to that and to keep in the military scene of the game and because I'm really a major weirdo (lol) added the Major. In the end, the clan would be named Majors@War.

See what I did there? I actually started a trend...

Been using it ever since.

Re: How'd you come up with your screen name?

Ah yes. Back in the early 2000, when I was about 12, me and my friend were coming up with nicknames for ourselves.
Since I was a huge Dragon Ball and Sonic fan back then (still am, btw), I used Sha from Shadow the Hedgehog, and jita from Vegeta. Vejita is the danish name for Vegeta.

The name has stuck ever since, and I use it basically everywhere now days.

Re: How'd you come up with your screen name?

My favourite character is Sub-Zero, so that's where that part came from. But mainly, it's down to my Grandad; he suffered a stroke recently which put him close to death - before he had a stroke, he had zero tolerance for bad behaviour and the like around the house (can't imagine what he was like when he was my age! [16])

Re: How'd you come up with your screen name?

Re: How'd you come up with your screen name?

Neo Gunloc.
Hmmm, let's see how can I explain this ?
Neo comes from my devotion to SNK's brilliant Neo-Geo arcade board and console systems.
Before you all ask, the answer is yes, I am one of those zealots willing to pay hundreds of dollars for titles like The King of Fighters, Fatal Fury or Art of Fighting.

Gunloc is a character from Capcom's (ironic huh ?) arcade game Saturday Night Slam Masters. (AKA Muscle Bomber in Japan.)
SNSM is like Street Fighter II meets the WWE, Gunloc is one of the playable characters and basically my favorite.

So there you have it.
I've combined my devotion to SNK's Neo-Geo platform with my favorite character from a Capcom game.

Re: How'd you come up with your screen name?

Way back in 1998, there was this guy in my gym class who used to give everyone nickname, with no real reason for giving them to anyone. Examples: one guy was "Root Beer", another guy was "Peewee", and I somehow became "Popsicle". The name kinda stuck, and back in those days where everyone was still passing notes in class, I'd sign as "The Popsicle". Until, of course, a girl that I liked started signed her notes "To: Mr. Popsicle". Naturally, I kept the Mr. part. Not too long after that was when everybody and their grandma starting getting Yahoo accounts, so naturally, I had to get one too. After all, didn't want to be left behind in the 20th century with an ICQ number. Unfortunately, "popsicle", "thepopsicle", "mrpopsicle", etc., were all taken. And the last thing I wanted was to be "popsicle3739" or something like that. Thus, "mrpopsicleman" was born, and the rest is history.

Re: How'd you come up with your screen name?

A tabernacle is a church lol, I just found a funny way to spell it.
It all came from a Mad TV skit where the "coach guy" dressed up like snoop dogg and said
"Yo what up with it my Tabernacle??"
Made me laugh my ass off.
