Yup :) Shang Tsung is not dead forever though, almost a lock to be back in MK11 given NRS history. All the humans who died back over survivors of MK9 is messed up though.
 
Surprise is pretty much out the door with having shown Shinnok in his main attire (different from the scene where he gets trapped) and he's been a boss before. Somehow I think Boon's words got twisted up and he never said it was a character who'd never been a boss so Shinnok seems highly likely. I just hope it's him in demon / blood god / enraged, with crazy speed and stuff like that. If he's the same as what we saw, that would be even more disappointing than unplayable Shao Kahn.

I think we can expect a tease to this effect at the end like we got in MK9. Perhaps showing Shang Tsung saving Quan Chi or something like that. A few weeks ago I would have sworn it was Liu Kang but the Shaolin trailers changed that theory. Kotal Kahn and Mileena and doubtful to be the big bad IMO. Kotal is not evil. I do think we can expect the final boss to be mutated/buffed into this blood god form, which leads me to consider Reiko. The comics suggest he is working for himself behind the scenes. This game is a call back to MK4 and let's not forget Reiko's (possibly prophetic) ending. I have to hand it to NRS. They are keeping me guessing.

I like the idea of your deadly alliance idea, I hope they are in here in some form whether it's nod for the next game, or fully implemented somehow. Shinnok I have a feeling will be like Shang Tsung in MK9 the first boss, but then playable (he even has a similar shape shifting move set). I have a feeling it's Reiko as the main boss since this is a nod to MK4 which you said Havik didn't come till later. I have a feeling Havik is the Quan Chi of MK9 he might show Shang Tsung Quan Chi or have them meet or something. The sub boss I am hoping it's either Kittentaro (who is awesome) or Motaro (who is bad ass). Or it could be Belokk
 
People get too hung up on MK4 or Deadly Alliance for that matter, they are tryign to tell a new story here. Sure it involves some of the things from MK4, but it's not re-telling like MK9 where the end is bound to lead up to anything related to DA. So there's no Shang Tsung or anything like that.

NRS has been really good at teasing what we might expect in the next series. In MK:DA they mentioned this new Dragon King. In MK:A they left the Pyramid battle unfinished. In MK9 we had the Quan Tease. This franchise still has plenty of fuel in the tank so I'd be surprised if there wasn't some sort of tease. If they continue down the same line they have been from MK3 to MK4 to MK5 then the Deadly Alliance is most likely. I can see Shinnok being killed off and or betrayed by Quan Chi in order to keep him as one of the main antagonist for MK11.

Even though I loved the concept of the Deadly Alliance I feel it's time to let the new timeline diverge from what we've seen. I would love if they went back to it but if they just rehash everything they should've just made HD versions of those games. Plus NRS doesn't seem to fond of anything between MK3 and MK9 so yeah...
 
I see a lot of ''Liu Kang'' that's a really scary tough, I like to love villains and I hate Liu Kang with all my heart, I would totally be screwed... Yet my mind can't help but nopes all the predictions... I don't even know who I'd want to see as main villain :???:

Can you guess who it will be ? I'm pretty sure than Reiko or Shinnok are a bit too simple, and i prefer considering that Raiden could be a better "Big bad" !
Remember that his role is very ambiguous in the story of MK9, and he led Liu Kang to his death...

IMPORTANT- I made the mistake of reading too far into the spoilers and found out more than I wanted. I urge everyone to sit tight for the next 9 days and steer clear of the multitude of very accurate spoilers that are about to splash the net. Don't make the mistake I did.

I care. And while I've already pre-ordered the game I can't help but feel that my jonesing for a small video, a few pics, or most importantly (to me)- details of the Story.

I love MK and have the logo tattooed on me. But it's not because or the gore... it's because of the lore... I've been a die hard fan since the first time I popped quarters into MK1 in 6th grade and I'm very sure that I will enjoy MKX all the same.

I just can't help but feel like I took the wind out of my sails by reading too much spoiler info.... :/

I will still be up all night playing story mode next Tuesday. :)
