Too many ninjas???

Is it me or does anybody else think there are too many ninja types in the game? Im thinking with all the different and diverse types of warriors in all of asia, can't they come up with a little less ninja types. And i add cyrax and sector in that group cause to me they look kinda "ninja" also.
 
mk is all about ninjas and keeping the classics..... just dont play mk if u dont like ninjas.
 
This is just my two cents, but I feel that while the ninjas did indeed start off as rather uninspired palette swaps and a cheap way to save time and programming resources, in the age of superior hardware like the new systems and all, they've now become their own unique and interesting characters. Sure, they felt all samey in UMK3 which was perhaps the most ridiculous abuse of palette swaps, but they have their own costumes, color schemes, moves and play styles now.

And hey, who would ever say they disliked ninjas? Ninjas are effin' badass, man. Especially ones who can spit acid at you or use telekinesis to slam you around.

According to the story-development they are all dead. So basically MK10 will have to feature new Ninjas ..except they are able to bring some back to life. Because MK without Ninjas /= MK imo
 
I actually like how the ninja became diversified over the course of the series.

I don't mind any character as long as they have a compelling storyline with depth. And so far all ninja in MK9 comply with that condition so I don't mind at all. :p

plus, I'd get it for those who say 'NO MORE NINJAAAAAAAAAS RAWWWWWWR' if we were back in MKT days but right now everyone is unique and has something to offer. look how Ermac evolved through the years, look how Smoke this time around has his previous fans that could see his potential even when he was scorpion in gray plus a load of more, look how noob saibot is such a beast player and people love him and I don't even need to mention the classic three, Reptile, Scorpion and Subzero. I don't get why people get so worked up on the type of warrior, could you imagine a player with shadow powers that doesn't look like noob saibot as he is now? or smoke powers without smoke's look? I couldn't, it would feel too vanilla. in fact, I hope they create a white ninja too :D
 
The only ninja in this game would be Scorpion and eventually Skarlet, that if we exclude the Lin Kuei clan. Kitana, Jade, Mileena, Reptile and Ermac ARE NOT ninjas in the true meaning of the word as of now.
 
I like the ninjas we have. They've all developed their own identities and moves. They've made some crazy strides from the palette-swapped days lol. Just look at Ermac, he's so different from the rest of the ninjas. Mind you, I'm a little bias. Ninjas were my favorite back in MKII and I've loved them ever since.

All the ninjas have their OWN unique look to them these days.
We aren't in the Trilogy palette-swap days anymore.
 
Definitely not enough ninjas! =D

For me, ninjas are one of the things that define MK.

They have done a pretty good job of diversifying them in MK9, yes.
 
As long as they dont start wearing open toed sandals, like in that Goshdarn Naruto show then im good
