toasty total?

me and my freind just played a game i was kitana and my freind was strker in a king of the hill and it was1-1. And then in the final round my freind missed his xray and then i jumped towards him he did an uppercut on me and then the guy came up at the bottom saying toasty and then it came up at the bottom just above the meter bar saying toasty total and it gave my freind a free xray! We tried to do it again but we could'nt get it to work any ideas?
 
This Happened To Me Once Online Too. I Didn't Miss An X-Ray Though, I Just Had No Meter, And After I Uppercut-ted Someone, It Said Toasty, Then Forden Popped Up Again, And It Gave Me 3 Bars. I'm Not Sure Of How This Happens, But On Youtube Some Matches Have This Occurring. I'm Sure Its A Sort Of Redemption Thing To Where If You Uppercut Right After You Miss Your X-Ray It Gives You It, Or If You Uppercut Someone 3 Times Consecutively.
