Tired of online

Online is terrible. It's ruined the game for me to be honest. I don't have time to attend tournies or events and it isn't practical for me to have folk round anymore with a child running about. I swear it seemed to be better. I don't know how they keep ballsing up online on their games.

this game is dying really fast. and i mean REALLY fast. unless they release more DLC or do something about the joke they call online it'll die even faster.

personally for me, Madden 16 comes out in 12 days, so i wont play MKX unless they release more DLC
 
I have now over 700 matches and starting to feel really tired and dissapointed.

Lags all the time, you have to foresee future to play, it`s so unresponsive you basically have to mash special move combination in hope it will pull off as you planned.

Few people I don`t have lags with are turning out to be projectile spammers or entitled brats who tbag you when you lose and then flame you on chat (they do that even when you dominate them)

I`ve really had enough...

i have probably played 2k matches by now, MK is the only game i play. The online is dying because i run into the SAME ppl all the time now.
 
While the game itself isn't dying for me, I have no further interest in online until they fix it.
I still love doing the Living Towers and playing offline, but when the Dishonored Definitive Edition comes out in 2 weeks, I'll be jumping back and forth between that and MKX.
 
If anyone would like help in getting trophies or other unlocks through online multiplayer/private matches, feel free to shout :tee:
 
I don't like online matches either, but I'm only playing online for achievements and to unlock costumes. It's way more fun to play offline. For me, that is.

I'm seriously considering not even renewing my online subscription in March, next year.

As of lately, I don't care for most of the games offered in these last few months because I either (A) already have the free game being offered physically or (B) just don't care for them.
Most of what I play is offline / single-player anyways, and Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime video, console updates and DLC can all be done without a subscription.
I'd also prefer wait and pay a little less for the games down the line that I DO want, and know that they're mine, regardless of a subscription or not, rather than getting them for "free" and not being able to play them when my subscription is up.
Add to that that the online for Mortal Kombat X is a garbage lag-fest, and I have no real reason to keep my online subscription.
 
Nope.
I play stealth games like Metal Gear Solid, Hitman and Dishonored for the single-player / campaign.
I don't care for online in Metal Gear games, and I wouldn't care for online mode in Hitman or Dishonored (if it was ever put in, which thankfully it's not).
I've tried and played the last 2 iterations of MGO on PS3, and I just didn't care for it.
 
I've already made it clear numerous times that I haven't played X in a while and as of lately, nothing has gained my attention to come back to it. However, I would like to make a suggestion for future games when it comes to online. (Of course, having a better netcode is one but that's not my point here)

Before I completely stopped playing this game, my average waiting time in the lobby would be one hour before I get an actual fight. And most of the time, those matches are unplayable. No one would accept my challenge and I wouldn't get a challenge thrown at me. When I play World of Warcraft, it takes a very long time to play instances, but at least the game provides other stuff for me to do while I wait. When I'm waiting in a lobby for Mortal Kombat, I hop onto my computer and do something else with my time while I wait... And usually, I ignore a challenge because my attention was focused on something else.

I think it would be somewhat cool to see a mini-game you could play in the lobby while you're waiting for a fight. Splatoon has it while the game is loading, I think it would be kinda cool to see a mini-game you could play while waiting for a fight to come your way. It at least will make the wait seem shorter and your attention won't fly somewhere else.

Would be awesome to play if, delay wasn't insane. Funny thing how online match between two PC's in the SAME room or in the same city, lag to the point that, you can press multiply combinations and then just sit and watch how your character does all the moves 2 seconds later. Yet you can get flawless, lagless, with no delays match with some dude on another side of the planet while playing sf4.
 
That has nothing to do with it.
The lag still sucks major ass, and this coming from someone with very fast internet, with the console connected via Cat6 cable.
It's the NRS MKX servers which suck major ass.
 
Playing Ranked matches isn't going to make a difference, though.

I already see that people have stated why that is so I don't think I need to repeat. However, I am still for my idea of having some mini-game thrown in for you to wait. I think that would be kinda cool to have.

Yes, if your internet connection is literally comprised of dog farts. The online is bad, but if you have a good connection it's bearable at least. If I can land my 2 frame Mileena juggles online, then it isn't as bad as you guys are saying. Does it need work? Abso-goddamned-lutely. But 2 seconds of delay? You need to stop stealing that McDonald's Wifi my dude.

I'm talking about your wait complaint. You don't have to wait an hour inbetween ranked matches. And I really don't see why they'd need to add a mini game to the lobby. I have never heard of anybody waiting that long for a match. Even in KoTH mode you can practice combos while waiting. Just sitting in a lobby playing Space Invaders sounds retarded.
 
Yes, there are people who have waited a long time for a match or get a match of theirs accepted, I happen to be one of those people. It doesn't matter what kind of a match I'm playing, I'm still waiting a hell of a long time to get challenged or have my challenge get accepted.

If you think my suggestion to make a small little game for people to play a game while they wait is dumb, or in your case "retarded", fine, I don't care. But like I said, it doesn't make a difference what I'm playing. I'm still waiting a long time to play an online match.
