Do you think that Eddie would have gotten in there if he were alive? No, he wouldn't. Maybe years from now, but certainly not now. Shit, Bret Hart is only getting in it now and he's wrestled forever, he's even been out of the sport for a long time. Eddie died in, what was it, November or December? That's pretty fast if you ask me. Think of how long Hulk Hogan even had to wait and he is one of the most popular wrestlers ever.

To say that he is going into the hall of fame because he "had a passion for wrestling" is lame. ALL of them have a passion for what they do, otherwise they wouldn't do it.

I've probably been watching wrestling longer than you have and can probably name more wrestlers than you so don't act as if I know dick about it. That's more ingnorance on your part more than anything dear. :wink:
 
Hehe, we should have a wrestler naming contest, where everybody pms a mod with the list and all that. That'd be awesome :-P

Now, on to the discussion. I agree with both thoughts right here. I'm sure eventually Eddy would have been inducted. I'm positive. He's done too much to be ignored. But being inducted so quickly is 100% because of his death. If he was still wrestling, or alive for that matter, he wouldn't be in it.

Did you even read what I posted? I said that it was too early to induct Eddie.

But you made out he doesn't deserve a spot in the HOF at all. So yes you are being ignorant buy not taking into account all of his stunning accomplishments.

Also, I really don't want to get into an arguement over who's the biggest wrestling fan, and naming wrestlers isn't going to prove anything. As you could just copy & paste them from any old wrestling website. So that's a pretty crappy challenge really. Even a quiz wouldn't prove a thing, as all of the answers are on the internet anyway.

The entire post that I made wasn't entirely directed at you so yeah, you're pretty ignorant for thinking I was even talking to you the whole time. There are plenty of people that think Eddie deserves to be in it. I don't. Sure, he won titles but so did a bunch of other people. Wasn't Edge and Christian one of the winningest tag teams out there? Gee, do you think they will make it into the HOF for it? MAYBE, but I'm sure they will have another better tag team, perhaps from the past, inducted.

Why shouldn't Bob Orton be in it? Do you by any chance know anything about his career? They wouldn't have thrown him in for shits and giggles.

About my last paragraph about naming the wrestlers, that went WAY over your head. It's just a saying. It doesn't mean I would go and name them off online, it is more in a sense that if you and I had ever met and had that kind of challenge, I'd rape you.

Let it be known that everyone has their own opinions about who should be in the HOF. Not everyone will agree with who is in it or who hasn't made it yet but in teh end, I personally don't think Eddie should be in it now.

I just think that Eddie has a stronger case to be in there than he does.
