the Trailer had Horrible Music, what would you replace it with

i think most of us can agree that the music was really bad in the reveal trailer, what would you have used

i had a few choices

Rob Zombie - Let it all Bleed Out


Rammstein - Sonne [since this song is about boxing, thought it would fit, the chorus is "here comes the sun, it is the most beautiful one of them all" as in here comes the star of the fight... fits since Subby and scorp are the stars of MK


Rammstein - Der Meister [The Master]
 
I'd go with an orchestrated piece with a mild electronic tempo. Or something guitar chunky. All depending on what sort of mood you want to put out. Personally I feel like the hip hop crap was borderline intrusive.
 
Music was great. It got me in to the fighting. I believe they may have even been fighting to the beat. So I was really enjoying it.

That said I'm sure I could find a song better considering I'm not a rap fan.
 
Let's go back to the MK movie back in 1995...when we saw that EPIC fight between Scorpion and Johnny Cage. This gem played during that fight.

The music was great. But when the lyrics kicked in, that killed it.

I would have replaced it with something more MK. Like intense oriental orchestra.
 
I like Wiz's song. Yes I am a Hip Hop fan. But I'm a fan of many genres... I don't expect a guy who listens to Rob Zombie to like Trap (NOT Hip Hop). Anyways I was expecting what everyone else is saying (orchestra) but I like the new flavour. And given the soundtrack for MK9 techno and rap/hip hop DJs. I didn't mind. I doubt will see any more T(rap) in the actual game (That I can admit would be weird and out of place for MK)

It was also a double promotion the song is a new single for Wiz Khalifa's upcoming album + the trailer. Not to mention you can see Boon & Wiz exchange tweets just before the trailer dropped Just food for thought.

Could have been a bit more instrumental but I get that you gotta get some lyrics in there



I bet most of can agree they rather listen to NaS, than Rob Zombie:laugh:
 
Rammstein and Rob Zombie are really amazing, but I don't think that they fit an MK trailer. I think if they remixed the old techno syndrome song, that would be sweet.

Maybe not for that trailer but I always thought that this song is an epic song for the cyborgs of MK or Fulgore.

 
real music, not dribble....so Id go an orchestral piece, with some meaning and soul...no rock, no rap.....
 
In my honest opinion, I think original music for the game would be best.

My personal favorite was the select screen music for MK4. I can't even begin to explain it. It just sounds evil and makes me think brutal thoughts. I would rip someone's spine out for a revamp of that score.

Agreed, the instrumental bit was pretty good. I didn't hate the whole piece. But a more instrumental piece would've been more appreciated

I agree. it was good until the rapping started. but the music was perfect
 
I was thinking of ripping the trailer and putting Immortal by Adema to it instead of Wiz. That song goes so well with MK. Definitely a gem from Deadly Alliance.
 
I really liked that Adema song, it got me into the band. The music video they had was awesome.

MK4 select screen music was awesome. Makes you feel like some shit's about to go down.
 
I thought the song was good and the beat fit well, just not the rapping. I actually really loved the music to the second game. It was so simple yet dark and ominous. I love stuff with heavy hitting drums to go with fights.
