Lol screw the haters. I loved Johnny cage in MK9
MK went from being a horror/shock mysterious, drab fighting game to......
I never once considered Mortal Kombat Horror. I can agree on Shock.
I already said I was talking about the tone/mood/vibe of the game.
MK is about a fighting tournament to decide the fate of the realms said:thats why striker should never be in mk ever again....boon had his little jack off session with him, no one likes him...let him die....
You keep talking about the mood of MK9.
My money is in you being too young to have experienced the release of MK1, am I right?
Back then the tone of MK was radically different and that's the whole point of this topic: the mood of MK9 (and every MK after 4 for that matter) is wrong.
That shit was a rejected finisher from the Joker from MKvsDC.i also do not want medoiocre slice point fatalities...animalities, frienships or stupid babalities...i mean seriously shang stungs clown fatality?!?! why?!!
I didn't hate the stages in MK3 except the exceedingly trivial ones, like the street, the bridge and the subway station.man dont forget the in arcade drop..... that shat me!!! it was just so crapppppppp, the stages, the rappy ohhh yeahhh music, the urban earth realm setting..eeeww oh and stryker......eewww worst inclusion to mk ever.... even having robots in the game kinda gets me...i mean there were done ok in mk9 but, it just cheapens the whole lin kue thing an makes it jokey....cyborg ninjas? I mean come on...
Apparently it was so brilliant they couldn't go on with their lives if they didn't use it somewhere.
why does mk need comic relief? why? I dont get it...
No, the reason why they made that Shang Tsung's fatality in MK9 is because NRS was making fun of all the people who b****ed about "MKvsDC is PG-13, waaaah."
It's the same reason that Midway put Friendships and Babalities in MKII, to make fun of the people and critics complaining that "Wah, MK1 is too violent."
Simple.
Because it's been there since MKII in 1993.
Frienships and Babalities were the comic relief, in 1993.
I find it funny that people want MK to go back to its "roots" and want MK to "be more serious," when MK hasn't BEEN serious since 1993 (MKII).
