The Original Starters return for 'Pokemon X' & 'Y'

I don't see the big deal. You find legendary pokemon in the wild. haha. The chances of finding a Dragonite is 1%.

You aren't supposed to raise Legendaries though.
That's the huge payoff of Dragonite, Metagross, Hydreigon, Tyranitar etc. You raise a weak piece of shit into one of the strongest monsters in the game through considerable effort. Not just by finding them in a cave. It just bugs me

Well if you find them at a high level and already evolved, they will be weak as shit. You don't get a Dragonite until level 55. That's like 50 levels gone to waste that could have been made much better with EV training or even just normal training.

Another gripe I have with the newer gens (Mostly 5th) is that you can find way too many final evolutions.
Finding pokemon who will evolve in just 2 or 3 levels and finding mid evolutions of awesomely rare pokemon

You should NOT be able to find wild Dragonites. Regardless of how rare it may be. It shouldn't happen. Metang? Disgusting. Braviary? Not cool. Annoying how easy they try to make this.

That happened with Rufflet. You find him so very late in the game, but evolves 10 levels after you catch him.

I gotta be honest, the trailers did not do this game justice. This shit looks gorgeous.
And mama got a fat ass :bootyshake:

First patch of grass alone there is a nice variety. Found a Pidgey, Caterpie, Zigzagoon and some rabbit

It's a good game. A lot of the things I had gripes about were fixed.
There are fewer new Pokemon, so they're more creative than the last gens.
The character looks like a queer, but you can change his look. Found a black beanie for $3,000
Tee starters are ass, but they give you gen 1 starters too.

BBBLP can I change my hair? I want Flint's afro

You can change your hair, but I didn't see an afro option. You do get more options the more gyms you beat though.
What sucks is you don't get to see what a hairstyle looks like until you buy it. And that shit it $3,000

How soon into the game do you get a Kanto starter?

Really early. The second town you get to you get one of the OG 3.

Named my guy Gary MFn Oak. I just wish I could look like him too.

Seems like a lot of reviewers are saying that this game is by far the easiest one. EXP Share gives 50% of the EXP to all of your team. You also get it "early on" they say. Early on in the game you have a really big variety of Pokemon that you can catch. So early on in the game you can have a team that can make it all the way through the game. You also basically start with two starters so you can have great type coverage right from the get-go. I guess it's not a big deal though, since it's a single-player thing. For people who still want a challenge, they can do so.

It is pretty easy. First gym leader only had 2 Pokemon. And people throw items at you like they're on fire.

First time that I've ever been close to going past the Obey level
This Exp share thing has made my Squirtle level 30 and I only have 1 gym badge lol.

Fun fact, I hate Wartortle. So most of the time I raise Squirtle all the way to level 48, let him evolve at 49 into War, then immediately use a Rare Candy or grind him until he evolves again at 50.

Yeah, definitely is. It's also really streamlined. There is always someone there to hold your hand so you don't get lost or stuck on a puzzle. Pretty constricting. And they try to give you some damn good Pokemon early on. There's a guy in the third or fourth town that wants to trade you a Steelix for a Luvdisc

Also a lot of older gen nods. I'll admit it made me laugh to see a Snorlax sleeping on a bridge again.

I like solid numbers when evolving. Makes it feel a lot more satisfying. And it lets you learn moves earlier. I just now let my Chespin evolve at 30.

Current team is

20 Steelix
30 Quilladin (Nicknamed Fat Boy)
18 Whismur
31 Vespiqueen
33 Squirtle (Nicknamed Big Daddy)
19 Seviper
