The Original Starters return for 'Pokemon X' & 'Y'

Not a bad team. But damn you really can get a decent team early on in the game. I pretty much always evolve right away though. I think they should have Pokemon that evolve much later in the levels. Maybe even a Pokemon that levels up at lv100. They should also somehow give you a way to get past lv100. Like an evolutionary stone.

Mega Alakazam looks good. I heard some things need to be traded between X and Y to get certain mega evolutions. Is that true? If so then they're still finding ways for people to buy both versions. Even though the differences are miniscule at best.

They don't want you to buy another version, just to trade with someone who has.

Full 180 on this shit. I honestly think this is the best game in the series. The EXP all makes it feel like a standard RPG where all party members get the spoils of a fight. Makes grinding SO much more bearable. I've only 6 badges and my main team is already level 60.

The music is great. Actually memorable this time through

The minigames are entertaining and the graphics are great.
I wanted to hate this dog shit so much, but I love it  :mullet:

They DO want people to buy the other version but they do also want people to be social. More sales and more popularity.

Are these real? dat beard. haha

The writing is also great. First time in a Pokemon game where it intentionally made me laugh.

Also great to see they're keeping up with the creepy ass Pokedex entries.

Phantump:

According to old tales, these Pokemon are stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died while lost in the forest

Traded my Chesnaught for a Charmander from Germany. Less than 20 minutes he went from level 1 to 42. That traded xp bonus is huge

Usual traded bonus is about a 33% increase. Either you're bullshitting about getting to 42 in 20 minutes, or the XP you gain in X and Y is crazy.

You only get one Lucky Egg, at least I'm pretty sure you do. And EXP Share still only shares half of the earned XP.
Anything that makes grinding easier I'm all for.

So far I've got

lvl 68 Seviper
73 Steelix
71 Vespiqueen
48 Avalugg
70 Blastoise
57 Charizard

Not sure how long I'll keep Avalugg.

ONLY HALF FOR YOUR ENTIRE TEAM! haha. Lv70 is half way to lv100 if I remember correctly. That means you can only use one Pokemon and get it to lv100 and the rest will still be 70 and you don't have to use them once.

So if you train two Pokemon to lv100, you basically get another 5 to lv100 for free.

Beats having to individually train them for hours.

Also found that Anistar City is the first place where you can have a character that doesn't look like a queen. You seriously have to wait until the 7th gym to get pants that aren't skinny jeans.

I disagree. It's just more tedious. Standard RPG's do the same thing.

It still takes a long time to train your own Pokemon. It's not like everyone on your team is going to be traded from Germany with Lucky Eggs. To get my main dudes from 60-70 still took about 2 hours grinding on level 39 Beartics and Jynxs. That time would have been multiplied by god knows how long if exp.share was the way it used to be. Besides, X & Y have (possibly) made Pokegen incompatible with gen 6. So all of this Super Training and team XP is a way of making competitive battling easier to get into. You feel like you have a chance and that you don't need to always compete with dudes who have perfect nature, perfect EV spread, max PP teams.

Well I heard that if you have cheated Pokemon (PokeGen) it will corrupt your save file. I hope this is true. I have never played Pokemon on Wi-Fi because I know it's plagued with nothing but cheaters who generate their Pokemon. If it's true and there are only legit Pokemon online, you can bet your ass I'd be playing it daily.

I use PokeGen, but for respectable things. Today I used it to re-arrange the Pokemon in my PC, since it's faster that way. I've used it to re-name Pokemon instead of flying to the name changer's house and going through the dialogue. Since I have no one to trade with, I meet all other requirements for the trade evolutions then use PokeGen to evolve them. I had my Scyther and I made it hold a metal coat, then I used PokeGen to evolve it. I never use it to level up my Pokemon, alter their EV/IV, or anything like that.

I only used it to get Pokemon you couldn't naturally find in White. Because people seriously want Legendaries for Weedles and Charmanders.

Same with Y. I wanted a Houndour, but almost every single person wanted one of the Kanto starters for one. Shit is mad annoying.
