You can change that in the settings of every Pokemon game. Set the battle style to Set instead of Shift. Playing on Shift makes the game a lot easier, so I play on Set. and that would be an alright idea for XP.

Yeah but that's all it does is make the enemy Pokemon higher leveled. They are still retarded. I wish the AI was smarter and used tactics.

Caught this pimp with 1HP, no status change, with a Pokeball. That's a 1% catch rate.

Also... HeartGold and SoulSilver are the best Pokemon games by far, probably there ever will be to be honest. Playing through the Kanto region again is amazing. Going back to Pallet Town and going into Red and Blue's houses. Dat nostalgia. Seeing Blue as a gym leader is also pretty badass.

I caught all of the legendaries in Gen1 with Pokeballs except for Mew and Mewtwo. Now working on other legendaries.
 
I couldn't catch MewTwo in Fire Red without the Masterball.
I seriously sat there with a Tyranitar (Immune to Psychic attacks), get him down to red health over and over because of him using Recovery, and would toss all different kinds of balls at him. Not a single one working.
 
Yeah, fck that. Apparently he's on the same catch rate as other legendaries at a catch rate of 3, but I call BS. Not sure what that 3 means though. But catch rates go from 3 to 255. The higher the number, the easier it is to catch. The formula is super confusing. Articuno is a catch rate of 3.

The lower the number the lower the likelyness to catch it with a poké ball.
 
So I finally passed Pokemon Yellow. Now, it's time for me to move onto the 2nd generation. I just ordered Pokemon Crystal on Amazon. And speaking of Mewtwo, words couldn't explain how happy I was when I captured him. I'VE BEEN WANTING TO OWN HIM SINCE I WAS A KID!!! NOW HE'S MINE!!<3. He's gonna be my one Pokemon I trade in every Pokemon game I'll own. Along with Alakazam when I train him on Crystal. Anyways, I kind of like the new Charziard. But not the facial hair :S.

What I want to know is who in the hell would prefer Mega Charizard Y over Mega Charizard X? People have been waiting for Charizard to be Fire/Dragon since fcking forever. I hope Blastoise gets two Mega Evolutions. That will probably be the deciding factor on which version I get, if I don't just get both. I've never gotten both versions for myself for any Pokemon game, but it seems like they are giving more incentive with X and Y.

Why would anyone want the Y evolutions over the X evolutions? The only reason why i'd pick Y is because of Yvetal as of right now. Or we could wait it out and see if we'll get pokemon Z or pokemon X2 and Y2

We all know black 2 & white 2 did not get as much sells. So we will get a Z this time.

Fully agreed. Yvetal is the only one I'm preferring on Y version. and I don't use Legendaries, only capture them.
