I have a great imagination. Just because I prefer animal to a flying humanoid boom box means nothing. I'm all for new just stick to what brought them to the dance in the first place the simplicitity of their pokemon and the vastness of it's world.
 
I've only gotten one Pokemon to level 100 and that was an Altaria in Colosseum. And it was pretty much by accident.


Got my Blastoise to 92 the first time I played Blue though.
 
In Blue version I got one of every single kind of Pokemon and each one up to lv100. I had over 400 hours on my save file. Shit was baller.

I did that except I did it with every Pokemon in every Pokemon game in every language in one day.
This was of course after I beat the Elite 4 with a level 9 Ratatta who only knew Growl
 
So I've been thinking.... Does Xemeas and Yveital have something to do with Mega Mewtwo X and Y? Look at their eyes. I was also thinking about maybe MMY is good alignment, Mewtwo is neutrail, and MMX is evil. But look at the eyes. Red eyes in Y version, and blue eyes in X version. Same color as their respected mascots.

Want to talk about creativity? Look at this Pokemon. It's flowing with creativity. Guess what? It gets even better. When it evolves, it gets BIGGER AND GETS A MOUTH!

A basic bird Pokemon was bound to happen, and it happen in the first gen, so I don't see why you're complaining.

By your logic, gen 1 almost completely sucks.

Squirtle is just a turtle.

Charmander is a simple dragon.

Butterfree is a butterfly.

70% of gen 1 were based off something, and were basic-looking.

And they're all still better than these new Pokemon.
 
Squirtle is a squirrel turtle, doesn't exist in real life. Charmander is a dragon, but dragons were never real. (inb4 komodo dragon, etc). Butterfree looks nothing like a real butterfly. Yes a Pokeball is very creative, but making a Pokemon based off a Pokeball is not creative. Just saying that any one Pokemon you can say is unoriginal, I can name 5 for gen1. You guys are just bashing for no reason. You complain about creativity with the new ones, but then you defend the lack of creativity with the old ones. It's biased.
