Those details will be en PS3 and 360 too. Nothing will change except the graphics (justo a bit I believe) and perhaps the FPS. But the game will be esentially the same.
Does anybody know just how much an improvement the PS4 will provide? I don't have a PS4 (I have a PS3), but I'm thinking of getting one just for this game.
NRS makes the game for new gen consoles, the only thing the other team does is make a port for old gen consoles, that's what I've read.
It's obvious they aren't making two games, that would be ridiculous and way more expensive.

There are 25 slots, and why auto assume we'll get more than that?
And how does that impact the gameplay again? You play video games with your hands, not the machine's specs. It will look substantially better. Native 1080p and 60fps and significantly higher detail. There is a reason that NetherRealm isn't bothering to work on last gen version.
Expect the last gen versions to be drastically inferior.
Except that fully rendering the skeletons, and internal components requires additional processing power to produce. You could be looking at paired down fatalities, Xrays, stages, Physics, Animation etc.
All of these technological improvements will be reduced on last gen systems. Again, there is a reason why NetherRealm isnt bothering with the last gen versions themselves and focused on only next gen versions.
If you need to delude yourself into thinking it will be the same game on your PS3, go right ahead.
They won't make a port if there's no chance to make the game playable in other consoles.
I don't need to delude myself, I'm just being realistic, the game is totally portable on old gen consoles because it is small scenarios with 2 characters at the time, they are even using the same graphics engine.
Too many games came out for PS3 and PS4 last year with better graphics and much much bigger worlds and they are still the same game.
Sure.
Being portable and being the same arent the same things. Enjoy your inferior version of the game.
If the fighting mechanics are the same on PS3, then it's the same game. The ONLY thing that matters is gameplay. What good is having 60fps and 1080p if the game is not fun to play?Except that fully rendering the skeletons, and internal components requires additional processing power to produce.
