Sub-Zero

Just from reading some of Sub-One's posts I feel like he's trolling the hell out of you guys. Why even respond? He's in a Sub-Zero thread saying Sub-Zero should die and let Frost take over. Yeah, why take that seriously?

In all seriousness, while you guys think the best way for Sub-Zero to come back is through the soulnado. I dont. 1. That would kill Noob Saibot all together. Noob (even if he is some symbiote wtf???) is an evil entity. The only way Sub-Zero would walk out just Su -Zero is if that entity was completely killed leaving Sub-Zero a purified good guy (essentially what Kuai Liang is). That means Noob in whatever form is dead because the pureness of the soulnado kills everything that enters it. Unless someone saves them (the gods saving scorpion). I still say Noob Saibot is pulled from the soulnado by Havik. Noob wants to take over Netherrealm, and that inadvertently makes him side with the good guys.

Sub-Zero is brought back this way. Sareena confuses Kuai Liang for Bi-Han takes him to Quan's inner sanctum (which returns Quan to a state before battle) and voila Sub-Zero is back and as a human. Also brings Sareena into the story. At this point Sub-Zero having overheard Quan and Shinnoks plans makes it back to earthrealm to warn Raiden and the others.

I'm actually completely serious.

I don't think the Kuia liang scenario would work for the simple fact that CSZ was a wraith in the netherrealm in Raiden's chapter, No Human sub.

Noob couldn't be purified because he doesn't have a "real body", his real body was burnd to ash in story mode. So the soulnado makes nether-goop flesh and blood??? sareena, jataka and the other one need not show up in MKX. plus the only game sareena was ever playable in was MKA outside of MKSZM.

Additionally Kuai liang has no physical body either. He was turned into a cyborg and now is little more than a skeleton and a few organs inside a metal shell.

Now If they use magic to bring back either sub-zero that means they could have brough back ALL of the kombatants that died in mk9, making their sacrifices pointless, less impacful and leaving a big ass plot hole. That's the problem I'm having with Sub-zero being in MKX, I have though of every conceivable way that they could bring him back and it seems like the only options leave plot holes or are completely unoriginal and corny.

I think Sub-zero's return (if he has a return) should be mysterious and unexplained until the ending and I think it should be BI-Han in MKX as he would have a reason for being in it seeing as how Shinnock and Quan-chi were his enemies, not Kry-Liang's
 
Maybe they should develop Human Smoke's story line, and introduce Frost. Human Smoke can train Frost, and teach her of the exploits of the original Sub-Zeros.

They can still be his enemies as Noob Saibot too though. I really dont think Noob Saibot is dead.

The fact of the matter is Ermac resurrected all of the warriors in the old timeline. I would imagine they were corpses as well so that doesn't matter. Mk is a game which incorporates magic. For what we know kuai liangs body is mostly in tact under all that metal. If he were to step into a magical device such as Quan's inner sanctum it could heal him as it does Quan chi.

Mk9 left a giant plothole because we dont know if Quan was using reanimated corpses to fight Raiden in the netherrealm or their actual souls.

In Deception Liu Kang's soul was fighting his body. Those things fighting raiden looked like corpses. Rotting corpses. Their souls may very well be out there and if they are Ermac could pull his revival stunt again, and Kuai Liang would be a human since his soul shouldn't look like a robot anyway.

Kuai liang's body is completely integrated into the cyborg. only organs, some muscle tissue and bones are under his armor. when you break his helmet and face piece you see his brain and skull.

We do know that he was using their souls because he said to Raiden "how can you offer what i already have" and then he showed their souls all "stone" looking. The bodies were still in the cathedral in earthrealm.

His soul would look somewhat robotic because his soul was not intact he was only a "shell" of his former self.

your talking about his deception ending. This Ermac is evil still and he would have to take the souls from quan chi.

Did anyone besides me actually pay attention to story mode??

GOOD= Raiden, Cage, Sonya,

Bad/Neutral= Scorpion, Ermac, Sheeva, Mileena, Kano, Baraka, Reptile, Quan-chi, Skarlett, Rain, Freddy(LMAO),

Ermac is free of Kahn now.

I'll have to argue the rest with more time. Hitting the bed now. I still say its possible for KuainLiang to return though. Even if hes just a skeleton with a heart and brain. The magic of Quan's inner sanctum would reverse the effects.

I've beaten MK9 with everyone. Ermac's ending would have only been canon if he had won MK. So currently he is "NOT" the king of Edenia.

Sheeva didn't win either so she isn't the Queen of australia.

@ Subz 711-Of all of the warriors earthrealm why would they choose Kuai Liang?? there are far more capable warriors. Including Liu Kang, the most powerful earthrealm warrior.

Ermac is free, but I wouldn't think he would just become a "good guy" just like that.

Generally speaking, ending events that occur before the start of the game are canon regardless of the outcome (eg, Bi-Han/Kuai Liang in MK2, Sindel's true husband in MK3, fake amulet in MK4, Noob Saibot's identity in MKD). Meaning, Ermac still carries the soul of King Jerrod regardless of what happens.

As for Sheeva, my recognition of her ending is my pot shot at Australia for banning the game...in fact, that's probably why they wrote that in her ending in the first place. And besides, how do we know that the story mode will take priority over the ladder endings?

yup. ermac still possesses jerod's soul, as well as hundreds of other souls. currently it is not the dominant consciousness so i will dismiss this as irrelevant.

What do you mean "how do we know story mode will take priority over ladder endings"? Are you serious?? of course it does. with the inclusion of story mode we get a comprehensive series of events that lead us into the next story.

you people love to split hairs and convolute an otherwise straight forward continuity. initially I thought you all were doing it to phuk with me, now I see that you all are just as remedial as i had initially assumed.

Arcade mode endings have been what future stories revolved around for years; that's why they should continue to carry weight.

Kuai will always be the Sub-Zero to me, and the reason why he is the only character to be included in EVERY original game released.

TO YOU Scorpion and Sub-Zero aren't iconic characters, but to millions of other MK fans Sub-Zero and Scorpion are the 2 MOST iconic characters in ALL of Mortal Kombat, and that's not an opinion, it's a f***ing fact.
You can go look at all of the online polls about most popular MK characters, and the 2 characters on the top of every MK poll are Sub-Zero and Scorpion.
You don't care if Ken or Ryu are in SF, but millions of other people do, hence why Ken and Ryu are always on the roster.
They're fan favorites, and it would be stupid of Capcom to take them out.

my poor feeble minded little friend. MK sells because of the title. people recognise the title. Moste people cop out and choose sub-zero or scorpion or say their names because frankly they are the only characters people remember aside from actual MK players.

To be technical Lui Kang and Johnny Cage are the Ryu and Ken of MK.THAT is Fact!!

Scorpion and sub-zero aren't the ryu and ken of Mk they are the Scorpion and Sub-zero of MK. Like I said there is no comparison to be drawn.

Scorpion and Subzero Do NOT make MK. they are simply characters in it.

Majority rules. NRS is going to pander to those people because that's where the money is. If you don't like it, you can either deal with it, or you can leave, because NRS will not pander to the minority opinion. This is not my point of view, this is a fact, and you know that it's true.

So let me ask you; where is the money in omitting Scorpion and Sub-Zero?
