I think by court, Reptile means the Imperial Court, the halls of royalty. I don't think he means a courtroom with a judge and a jury.
Cassie's dialogue with Raiden was priceless.

Some thoughts on the recent intros:
OK, so this is the interesting one as far as story goes. A while back we got this intro (couldn't find it in this thread, weird):
Kotal: I thought us allies, Ermac.
Ermac: We will oppose the Emperor.
Kotal: Now you will perish.
That's two separate intros now that heavily hint that at some point in the game, Ermac serves Kotal Kahn. Looks like this really is happening, awesome! And one suggests that Ermac stops serving Shao Kahn - but intros between allies can be very misleading, so this is far from a sure thing.
I wonder if Shao Kahn put a clause into Ermac's "programming," and being the megalomaniac that Shao Kahn is, instead of having Shang Tsung code Ermac "I must serve Shao Kahn no matter what," he coded "I must serve the Emperor no matter what." Except then he died. Or maybe this was Shang Tsung's own slight little re-wording, in the hope that eventually he would kill Shao Kahn and replace him, and Ermac would then serve him without question.
Regardless, Ermac as an implacable bodyguard with loyalty to the office but not the individual holding it is an intriguing interpretation of the character. I wonder where MKX will take him from there.
One of my faves so far. Some great venom from Cassie.

Probably the worst intro yet. KL calls someone else out for being resurrected? Huh. And instead of pointing this out, Subz makes a generic ice threat? Huh. And instead of retorting ("The sting of winter comes around every year, I do OK.") Kung Lao makes a generic threat of his own? Huh?! It doesn't make sense, there's no flow to it, just over-all very poorly cobbled together.
Great start from Raiden, lovely retort from Quan Chi, but Raiden's last line kills it for me. "Pretty please, don't come up with witty comebacks to what I say.

You guys do know that "Dead man walking" is common expression for a guy which will die soon, yes? I do not think it means something about resurrections, just an idle threat. Not a good one, though.

Also, I am pretty sure that Kano does nothing to Sonya and Johnny in the story. If he would have, the we would hear something about it from the intro quotes with Cassie.

Based on the fact that Raiden and Quan Chi have at least 2 different intros for Raiden P1 and QC P2, and I imagine at least 2 other intros for QC P1 and Raiden P2, we've only heard 1/4 Cassie vs Kano intros. There's plenty of room for more spoilery ones. I don't expect Kano to kill Sonya (and certainly not Johnny Cage) but absence of evidence is not evidence of absence!

what. D: I didn't think there was a way for this intro to get worse, but if you're right, it's worse.

I kind of agree, though, I am sure there is nothing in other intros as well. It is too big of a plot point to ignore.
And about the Kung Lao one, yes, it is weak. But it is not the only one which have just stupid idle threats. That is the way is gonna go between characters with nothing in common (and not enough spice like Cassie)

Well, to be fair, her new dialogue with him has a very hurt, painful, vengeful tone, while her comments towards everyone else are just smart ass remarks, she can't just hate him for no reason. I believe something must of happened. We'll see though.

Nah. Did not hear that. The come back which was in her usual sarcastic manner. And calling him "SCUM" just for kidnapping her 10 years ago is enough. There is not even spite in this "Scum". Just regular hatred.
