I think the problem is that VERY few characters have an effective way of dealing with projectiles, without the use of meter. Few characters have a projectile of their own, which makes the characters that do have a projectile even more powerful, due to that fact that most of the cast has to get up close to do any damage. Plus, the fact that you have to hold backwards to block, meaning that you can't dash block like you can in MK, makes it even more troubling for non-projectile players.![]()
Dude, are we playing the same games? I have picked up Street Fighter IV before just for the sake of seeing how easy the spam was. It led to God knows how many perfects for me. In MK9, I have also experimented with the spam, and it is not as easy because of the teleports as well as the fact that the specials never stun you. The ones that do stun you do little to no damage. Also, to me, it is just easier in general to block or jump or teleport in MK9.
