Yeah, as much as I LOVED MKX story mode, all those questions that I posted in post #2441 had me scratching my head.
I was playing and thinking to myself "Where are all of these characters?"
Not even a cameo or death like Baraka?
Aside from those points, I thought story mode was pretty great and the post-credits ending scene with Raiden was even better.
Oh, and btw, Baraka's death solidifies Erron Black's Tarkatan arm on his back belonging to Baraka.

I now see why fujin wasnt in. He finally will be earthrealms protector in mk 11 due to raiden turning dark. Nrs probably wanted to wait till mk11 to make him playable so he would have a prominent role.
I'm not allowed to make a thread yet (new to trmk) and have not found any info on this via search. Can someone make a thread or tell me if there are any streamers currently capable of beating MKX story mode on "very hard" difficulty? The few streamers I've watched that tried out this mode got completely torn apart in the very first fight against Scorpion. I would definitely like to watch any streamers capable of beating the max difficulty on MKX story mode. NetherRealm outdid themselves with the AIs as they are absolutely brutal.

My friend I could beat MK9 ladder on expert. I tried to beat the MKX Ladder on hard and I got so frustrated that I quit. Brutal is a very kind description.

So after beating story its safe to assume the following wont be in mk11:
Sektor
Baraka
Quan chi
Mileena
Shinnok
Probably jax, sonya, kenshi and johnny to give spotlight to the 4 new hereos but they most certainly will be cameos..
Stryker
Kabal
Sindel and co probably wont be in the only revenants i see coming back are liu kang, kung lao and kitana again.
All the lame characters who died in arcade endings wont prob be in.

Could you make a thread asking if there are any streamers capable of beating MKX story mode on "very hard" difficulty? I'm currently not able to make new threads due to new account restriction of 15 posts + 1 day.

I think it's worth mentioning that death is really irrelevant in MK and MKX is great proof of that.

Wait why aren't you allowed to create threads? You have 201 posts and undoubtedly had that account for more than a day. Well, thanks for answering anyways. Whoever is able to beat MKX story on very hard will likely be really skilled or find some game breaking cheese. I really want to see it happen.

More like death is cherry-picked, depending on who cries the loudest for ______________ to be back. :laugh:
I highly doubt that Quan Chi, Shinnok, Stryker or Sindel will be back, if not ever, than for a long time.
NRS made an error in killing Kitana, Kung Lao, Liu Kang and Sub-Zero in MK9, so I don't see that happening again, and in MK11 Raiden will probably try to restore Kitana and Liu back to life, but I don't see them not being playable.

Thats because quan chi brought back revenants. Hes dead now and he never brought back evil characters to life only good characters to fight under his control. Think about it only GOOD characters have been brought back right after they die. Evil characters are out for a min usually when they die.

i think next games involves an edena since dark raiden if you try to atack earthrealm i will kill you so they might try to free edenia

As I said in another post. Storymodes don't always come true. They never mention Shang Tsung in the story-mode yet Shang Tsung is in like 5 characters' endings. Out of arcade endings, only Liu Kang becomes ruler of the Netherrealm. Shouldn't Kitana's ending also allude to being a ruler of the Netherrealm?

Ed Boon said that Mileena and Kitana are the female equivalent of Subbie and Scorpion. No MK will come out without those 4, Mileena will be back mark my words.

Just finished.
7.5/10 feels fair.
Some loopholes and the usual cliffhanger, but I played through all of it and didn't feel like any questions of significance were answered.

I really hope shinnok comes back again. I don't know when but I love him in this game. But i mean he was given justice in this game so i really want him back at some point. Maybe not the next game but i wouldn't like him to just stay gone. The same goes for quan chi. He's been a "likeable" character since day one. He can sit a game or two out but he shouldn't just stay gone. I don't think a lot of characters should.

Keep in mind, I'm a Mileena fan, Kal, but I have to ask this: How does Mileena come back after what happened? Bugs devoured her face and Quan Chi has literally been beheaded. I would make the argument that he could bring her back through means of sorcery but Quan Chi himself is dead and Shinnok has been reduced to nothing but a choking head. I don't see her coming back for awhile but I could be (and hope I am) wrong.
Shout out to T Dot, though. I'm from Thunder Bay originally.
