[SPOILER] DLC Characters Ladder Endings & Dialogue Intros

The codenames of the characters go like this...

Kotal Kahn is Aztec
Cassie Cage is Cage Jr
Jacqui Briggs is Jax Jr
Takeda is Kenshi Jr
Kung Jin is Kung Lao Jr
D'Vorah is Lady Bug
Ferra/Torr is Master Blaster, Master Female and Master Male
Erron Black is Nomad

Funnily enough there will also be a Ladder called "Fire And Ice", which "each fight gives Kombatants the power of Fire or Ice."

Interesting Ladder also called "Ice Time" -> "The return of the Cryomancers and their evil magic has bent the realm into a frigid wasteland." ---> Frost?

Meat is also referenced in the game through one of the Ladders titled "Meat Lives" -> "Meat's curse has befallen you, forcing your painful resurrection."

And Fujin is confirmed dead, despite not really making sense... A Ladder called "Bad Weather" explains that "the death of Fujin has unleashed his awesome might and caused the weather to become violent and unstable." -> Probably why he not in the game/DLC.

And one more... "Training Day" -> "Bo'Rai Cho has selected to train you! Your first test is to take a sip from Bo'Rai Cho's Calabash jug…."

I doubt he's actually dead. I think it's just for an event.
We'd hear it implied if he was dead. Especially since he's the other protector of earthrealm, we would've heard it mentioned in the last 3 or 2 chapters.

The Bo' Rai Cho one I've already seen in-game!

I don't think any of the story elements described in the living towers are necessarily canonical.

Fujin is a God, which makes him literally immortal by default.

I agree and remember that. I Also saw and played Meat Lives as well. An hourly tower if I am not mistaken. Dont remember the modifier. No relation to the character itself of course.

Shaolin Monks Tower -> The mightiest warriors of the White Lotus, Liu Kang and Kung Lao, join together to defend Earthrealm!

I wonder what that's going to play like.

Some interesting stuff I found in the code...

It contains references to PS4/XOne, the E3 build and HVS have been working on the games with NRS at least since July and polishing it in early May.

Regarding realms and invasions...

There have been/are/will be Outworld, Nethererealm, Orderrealm, Chaosrealm and the Elder Gods.

For some reason the game includes also a bunch of text quotes labeled as "On Disk Messages" and "Sample Messages" from the first movie. Over 20 of them.

Also, going back to the codenames, this time for stages...

Emperor's Courtyard was originally called Aztec Courtyard, Krossroads was titled Crossroads with a C, Kuatan Jungle was simply Jungle, The Kove was just Kove and Dead Woods was called Snow Forest.

Cool. I haven't been playing for a couple of days now, so I wouldn't know. I don't really bother to check the stuff in-game. I just play and have fun. If I run into something I see in the code, fine, but I'm not looking for it. Just want to enjoy the game. So yeah, in that regard in some cases I may be a bit late.

I wouldn't say canonical myself, true, but I think Fujin being killed would explain a lot.

Ahem, with that I have to disagree. In all honesty, MKX's story mode is a mess. Many plotholes with missing scenes and unanswered questions. Wouldn't surprise me if they simply ignored or forgot. He could be dead. It is a possibility.

Fujin could be dead. Doesn't mean he can't be. There's always a way. If he wasn't dead, why not have a bigger role in the Story? Where did he disappear? Why is he mentioned being dead in one of the Ladders? And why is Ed avoiding answers? Every time someone brings up Fujin he doesn't know what to answer. It's different from those Rain teases.

I think they decided to get rid of Fujin, because they simply did not know what to do with him. He may be DLC due to demand, but story-wise I don't think we'll be seeing him again. Either he's in MK11 with a prominent role or he's gone forever because he doesn't fit. My 2C.

Either way, saying Fujin is dead is just as canon as Erron Blacks ending.
Literally nothing is proven or confirmed true until said otherwise.
The other tower says Bo Rai Cho trains you. Okay, so if I play as Quan Chi, does that mean that it's canon that Bo' Rai Cho has taught Quan Chi some fighting? No, because it's a tower. It's not meant to be true.
We can debate this all day, but you and me both know that nobody is confirmed dead thanks to a tower event unless it's announced that way via directors and ed.
We can find out the truth probably a week in advance of it coming out.

Tanya's Victory Shouts

"The Elder Gods favor me."
"For a free Edenia!"
"Not much of a challenge."
"That was… fun."
"I was expecting better."

Tremor's Victory Shouts

"Fear the ground beneath you."
"May they all tremble!"
"Nothing will stand in my way."

i don't believe this is really what they would say....
why should we believe this.......

just kidding :)
Thanks for these, i can't wait to see Tanya.

No, I get you. What I meant and wanted to imply was that Fujin being gone is a possibility based on everything there is. My feeling is simply that they wanted to include Fujin, but they couldn't find a way and his addition in MKX or MKXI is up in the air depending on fan demand and mainly if he will work. It sucks we're still not getting a decent Fujin after all these years, but I think we should be prepared for him not returning even for the next one. Imho his small presence in MKX, along with a few other characters, felt a bit forced and out of place. Like they knew they had to include him in some way and they put him in just for the sake of it - similarly like Sareena or Frost.

Tanya's In-fight Lines

General

You're no Edenian….
Do not touch me again.
Burn, fool!
Weakling.
The stars align for victory.
I get what I want.
Keep your blood to yourself.
So clumsy….
Falling for me?
You may die now.
Down again?
We're almost done….
Hot enough for you…?
You disgust me.

To others

Tanya to Kotal Kahn: I will end you, Ko'atal!
Tanya to Kotal Kahn: Enough, Emperor!

Tanya to D'Vorah: Kytinn filth….

Tanya to Mileena: Surprised, my Empress?
Tanya to Mileena: I enjoy these enounters.

Others to Tanya

Kotal Kahn to Tanya: You bring unrest, Edenian.

Kano to Tanya: Sorry 'bout that, Luv.

I definitely agree they have no idea what to do with Fujin ever since they decided post-MK4 not to retire Raiden after all.

The tower text is conspicuously weird, for sure. We'll see, I suppose!
