Nothing is worse than quitting on the team, which is EXACTLY what John Tobias did.

Winners never quit, and quitters never win.

Ohhhh. That explains a lot. Thanks for the personal history Trash, but'em, can we now get back on topic please. Thanx buttercup

A few thoughts on the last chap:

- As we know D'Vorah calls herself "this one" in her dialogues, in this chapter she also calls her insects "the others". It's a nice detail, she seems to consider herself part of the swarm, so when she's speaking for herself she specifies "this one".

- Mavado's gonna get murdered.

I think "this one" is just something people say, it doesn't mean anything, however in one of the in-game intros (I think it was to Kano) she says "We are repusled by you".

So it seems that she considers herself and her insects a "we".

Yellow Ledbetter the comic is up for download at kickass.

Hey does everyone else notice in the last chapter, D'Vorah is all over Kotal? Hmmmm what to think there?!

Yeah she is helping him with his wound in one scene, but in the next, Kotal is clearly standing on his own and D'Vorah is all up on the big blue stud.
And prior chapters, she is very defensive of Kotal.

Just an observation thats all!

I notice that too

Seems to be more than loyalty there...

That's actually quite interesting. It explains why she is so devoted to Kotal. I am reminded of her intro with Raiden where he offers her protection and she refuses it. She doesn't see herself as being captive or enslaved under Kotal's rule, she is willingly working for him and, as it may seem, in love with him.

If D'Vorah is in love with Kotal, that would please me a lot - it just adds tons of depth to both characters. It's clear there's a great devotion there. We already have Reiko and Mileena, so... a villan couple mixes things up a bit me thinks...

That would be very weird, but interesting in the same time. I mean, IMO D'Vorah seems to Kotal like "alien", they don't even look similar. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a rasist at all  It's like, I don't know, a love affair between a dog and a cat or something like that. The situation is a liitle bit different with Reiko and Mileena, as both of them look like "normal" humans (Mileena not completely because of obvious reasons, though).

Read the comic, a couple of observations:

1. Johnny and Sonya, classic "good Earthrealmer/bad Earthrealmer," Kotal got duped by the oldest trick in the book.

2. Something about the way Mavado's belt/pants are drawn makes him look like a eunuch. Good thing I won't have to be bothered for much longer. He's about to job the last job of his miserable jobbing career.

3. Kuai Liang doesn't have a beard anymore. Hrm.

4. Kuai's line "I've already been dead once... NEVER AGAIN!" is... uh... it's... well... uh... yeah. Uh... I mean... he does know that people die, right? Like that's just a thing that happens when they get old. That is either some very unfortunate dialogue, or it's incredibly meta because he knows Boon won't let him die.

I'm sure she's humanoid enough to get frisky, humanoid aliens always are. But I would be scared to do it if I was Kotal, some female insects are known for killing the males after mating. That and... you never know, an orgasm from a lady like that, making her lose control of her body for a split second... might unleash more than just bodily fluids. She is packing a hive on her, after all. :?
