That's a pretty bullshit reason for NRS not revealing new characters and their variation videos.
I don't know what 1 has to do with the other.
That said, I'm more interested in D'Vorah, Kotal Kahn and Ferra / Torr in the comics, now that I saw their 3 gameplay variations and heard their gameplay intros first.

I'm more hyped for the origin of Kotal Kahn.
I'm wondering if he has had any run-ins with Nightwolf in the past, given that Kotal seems to be Aztec and Nightwolf was Apache and the 2 tribes were at war with each other from 1831 to the 1850's.

In the mk9 story alone JAX kicked his ass,Ermac kicked his ass,jade beat the hell out of him AND then Cyrax did Him in as well....Its about time for someone to really get Caged.

Just to end what I said about Daegon: remember he is allied with Shinnok (since they met before his premature awakening), who will probally be one of the bosses. I think it's possible he will play a role beyond the comics, which he obviously will.

I can easily see both Daegon and Taven as the Yun and Yang versions of MK. People talk about them as if they could not be anything else from what they started in the one only game they were in. Don't give me wrong, but Ermac used to be one of the most generic characters back in the day till the day NRS decided to develop him in Deception. People just seem to have selective memory according to their tastes. And don't let me start with characters like Smoke, Noob Saibot, Jade, Reptile and so on...

I want Daegon to be in X and I am pretty sure he would look great. NRS likes the character so...
Shirai-ryu or how the hell it's spelled is going to have probably three members in X (Scorpion, Forest Fox and who knows Takeda) and it's not among the 5 clans, even though it's one of the most well-known. So, I am actually excited to see if they include Daegon or not.

I would have to agree. As generic as they were in MK Armageddon, Daegon in particular does seem to have some potential, since he has this royal and villainous persona to him. Basically a more sophisticated and stylish Quan Chi
 
I would take Daegon over Taven since I did like how he help create the Red Dragon and I like how he is tie into the MK universe. I won't mind Daegon in MKX if they can revamp him into a better character.

Historical source please. As far as I know the Aztecs civilization collapsed during the 17th century when they encountered Cortez a spanish conquistador. Night wolf is from the "Red-wolf tribe" not apache. Who knows, Maybe Nightwolf IS Kotal Kahn

Pretty much every character in MK9 was better than what they used to be. Even somewhat unpopular characters like Sheeva and Stryker. I have no doubts in my mind they could improve Daegon if they wanted. The Red Dragon is not all that uninteresting and I could see an alligeance there with Shinnok during the invasion. Considering Daegon is the leader, he's a major card, I wouldn't like if they simply killed him off. Hsu Hao and Mavado are minor, but not Daegon. Who knows...
 
With the whole talk of Daegon and the Red Dragon then it would be funny if the IMDB voice actor for Taven on the MKX casting was legit :P.

Actually, Sheeva was FAR better in MK3 than MK9, especially since her role in MK3 set the stage for the Shokan race, up to and including Goro, turning good.
